I fell in love with him, flaws and all, as my first Max, and at least the Western release let one get in those lower legs and get some G1 play factor back in 'em with effort. I'll cut Warden & Shogo some slack for doing their best under the budget cosh, and respect to T30 'Plex and FM for starting the Titan train even though they have been surpassed engineering-wise (mainly in the joints), though it helps my LG-EX 'Plex has some pretty smooth knees, especially compared to Max's "will they explode this time" mighty non-Christmas Crackers!

Did I miss part of a conversation, Starsaber does have outward shoulder articulation he has a butterfly joint on a double frame that allows him to spread his arms at least a reasonable amount out to the sides. at least in so far as his shoulder towers allow.

But I don't mind that part addition it certainly looks less awkward than using the out of the box joints does to achieve anything similar.

They're 14 now, but it's been a good few years since they first picked them up. Hell, I used to read the comics to them when they were small, skipping some of the more gruesome bits like Ambulon being cut in half :D

How dare you criticise ol' snake hips Plex. Still the best city mode of all, I will not stand for this horrible attack on his honour sir.

You daft goon, please time stamp this source material. You're like a random 6 o clock news report where a viewer has to guess what day you've landed in. My head is dizzy.

I am genuinely delighted for you. I remember when the first reissue was out - must have been 2005-ish? I'd never even SEEN one of them before so being able to actually own one was amazing. I hope you get just the same pleasure out of it, from the wonderfully chonky alt and bot modes to the combined form. Brilliant!

He's more in scale with the MMC Reformatted line which in turn works much better with the Thrilling 30 Generations toys over today's current crop.

The Minimus Ambus is from Iron Factory's City Commander Final Battle figure. Really looks the part busting out of the HasTak release.

Sorry if this is a weird request, but could someone who has the Ocular Max Protectobots send a picture with a figure like ER Astrotrain or Legacy Stunts? Trying to figure out just how big it is but don't have any MP figures to compare with

Gah! Not long left for work but can tell you he's a big lad, absolutely MP sized and much bigger than the Legacy Deluxes and Leaders.

Evolution bugs me but I'm not so concerned about Velocitron Wave 2. Hasbro haven't officially announced them yet have they ? And if I remember rightly, Smyths put Wave 1 up on the site and they were available straight away ?

Agreed though. Given the circumstances it does seem a bit odd.

Cheers :)  Hot Flame is definitely too tall for my scale requirements, then. The design is notably slimmer than MMC Calidus but I see the overall height is pretty similar, i.e. pre-Siege Voyager. The "f*** it, that'll do" Titans Return Hot Rod retains the Lost Light captaincy, and has the advantage of closer on-page scaling to Tyrantron than other MMC toys do!

Maybe SND will do a tall Deluxe of him, or some madman will DSKO the SXS fella. I can wait :)

The upper torso is fine enough but the lower legs, he can’t stand in any pose apart from straight up or “oh crap I’m falling” without upgrades. In city mode G1 Fort Max is still the one to beat with his working lift

That’s awesome and if it was for me I’d go for the Japanese language one, but alas, the wee fella is a big fan of the monosyllabic battle cries.

Nah it's just... Smyths used to list stuff well in advance right? But no SS86 Scrapheap (or whatever that Junkion truck is called, no Rise of the Beasts, no new Legacy figs y'know? Unless Legacy is being refreshed for something new in the new year? I'm kinda out of the toy loop these days.
