This restores my faith a little. I still love the way they added the auto-seperate onto the arms. Even the shit way the back-end of the car doesn't come together properly actually just gives him a cool looking cuff. It's just a shame they couldn't sort out Breakdown to complete this monster for Xmas.........nothing says festive like a pile-on of mental murderbots.

Even at 4/5ths He/they will be in my year end 10. When I can be arsed to remember another 9.

As of writing I gotta say TM2 Megatron is in the running for spot 10. Just lovely sculpting in all modes and goddamn that dragon mode.

Crankcase and Starscream are perfectly cromulent figures for their size. Crankers is more fun than Skids and fits together better perfectly fine, but just kinda average. Starscream is better than the generations deluxe and holds nostalgia for me but again doesn't do anything really new.

Skullgrin I've kinda soured on. I like him when he's with Iguanus and Bomb Burst...but he's kinda crap on first impressions. Robot mode is great if you love Pretender designs. Definitely got "generic Metal shirt vibes."

Everything else is kinda bad.

Transformation...is horrible. A lot of the plastic is soft flexible and somewhat rubbery and you feel like you're cramming it all in and hoping it won't explode out. Plus the tank is kinda bad looking because there's a lot of gaps. One of his calf treads comes off really easy.

I've just got to open Inferno next and he's probably the 3rd most anticipated out of this lot, so let's see.

Total agreement, as I said a great looking figure but a terrible transformer, with a "conversion" that's a whole lot of faff for achieving very little by way of an Alt mode.
Honestly think maintaining the basic transformation of the original inner robot but with this aesthetic would've been a way more enjoyable figure (and optional botmode classic G1 literal handguns to boot), or at least at Deluxe the skull should be a removable helmet, annoyingly the wee nubbin of a mounting right under it is the right colour, and it easily clips on & off it, even if it was a pinheaded Core class size G1 inner bonce under there THAT WOULD STILL WORK WITH THE CONCEIT OF A ROBOT WEARING A LARGER SHELL PEEKING OUT! AUGH!

I don't understand why it hasn't been collected, etc. Because stuff is being collected.

But, it does seem that stuff isn't being scanned properly either, so it could easily be at your local delivery office as of tonight or something, but not scanned once since it was dropped off.

It's strange how hit and miss it is though...

 

My yodel tracking for VS says it will be here Thursday - which works out alright cos Mrs sideys is working from home that day.

I too am waiting on quite a few deliveries, some for over a week now so will be holding off on any top 10 until I get these in as, other than what I get at Xmas, these will likely be my last bots of the year. Could be they are contenders!

 

He’s fantastic isn’t he, I haven’t been able to put him down. I can’t decide if he’s my favourite Predacon or not though! I hope they’re actually in ROTB even if it’s a flashback montage of Primal talking about the Maximals, I know some were on that sigil promotional piece from months ago.

Armada Starscream has been my travel figure lately, although I do miss the Siege days when it was Laserbeak   I’d bobby pinned him onto my work jumper on my shoulder when I was at work for a week and that was a hit. Seems so long ago now.

 

I've finally realised what Skullgrin reminds me of - a Chaos Marine. Emperor's Children I'd guess, going by the colours. The excesses of Slaanesh would probably explain why neglected his alt mode in favour of a fetching skull head instead

 

Got these 4 lads together on one shelf, and I think they look great. I was a little worried about the legs of Dead End when I saw all the promo images and reviews, but they don’t bug me as much in real life.

In other news, I saw these in the Entertainer about a month ago and picked one up, just because… I got a little Shockwave in my first pack, who looked great, so I went back about 2 weeks ago to find they had disappeared, listings online showed the Entertainer as being out of stock and I thought I’d missed my chance to get more.

Then IDT had them in their sale and 2 orders later I now have these…


And I’ve even started with my pitiful attempts at basic customisation by giving a few of them the paint apps they were missing from new (as you can see from the Optimus Prime). What I love is that they have some intricacies to the transformation processes that even the battle masters and micro masters didn’t have.

 

My VS says Thursday too. Exciting if true! Meanwhile both C&C and IDT parcels have arrived at the same hub...there to squat like a toad in a well.

Also UK-collector-reflex-ordered something on eBay an hour ago, let's see if it catches up with them.

You know, despite skipping Star Saber and Deathsaurus, I would be tempted by Liokaiser if he ends up the HasLab route. He has a cool design.

 

My 19 your child is living back with me and demanded a tree this year , not impressed by this one bit complaining he is not star shaped too , but my reply was he is doing a star jump   anyway there he will stay for the rest of the year , not fully decorated yet

My tracking says Friday but Yodel/Evri are normally a day sooner (for me) than tracking for Pulse stuff, therefore, expecting Thursday.

I'm off to think about a 2022 top 10.

 

So Tier 1 met and another 3k to achieve that final tier by the 13th Dec. Is it doable? Only a week to go.

Earlier today Yodel was reporting error messages with the tracking reference I had. Like you I’ve been thinking about shifting this on and might change my mind once in receipt. Need to check if I have an actual date it will pitch up.

Which figures are you still waiting on that are in postal limbo?

So both yourself and Andy have Yodel delivering on Thursday. I wonder if that applies for me…
