Just to add my bit of tinfoil hattery from the spec thread, what if it’s the prime guys, slightly g1ified with a multiverse gimmick.

Skyquake with an evo-fusion viewfinder who can attach predator jets to the top of his jet, and dreadwing who would share the deluxe jet combination system for a smokescreen combo.

Obviously they wouldn’t be g1/2 accurate in the slightest, but it would be an interesting and relatively non-obtrusive gimmick to add to the prime guys. Also kind of fits with how eurog1 and g2 gets treated at the minute.

More importantly, an evo-fusion viewfinder is just the kind of accessory skyquake needs to meet our current leader class requirements.

Would it look pretty naff?
Absolutely!
Do 90% of transformers gimmicks of that style look naff?
Absolutely!

Would still love to see actual updates to these guys though. Skyquake was actually one of my first tfs thanks to a hand-me-down.

 

More money spent and the nose cone detaches becomes g1 inner robot. Then the deluxe version opens and becomes the store for him as the pretender g1 version. Then the super plane mode can approximate the idw ultra mode.

Well that doesn't make me worried for victory saber at all.

 

The odds on me flogging Schrödinger-Sabre on MISB are increasing. And probably at a loss.

 

I found the recent reveals to be interesting, and I immediately jumped on putting in a pre order on Breakdown to make sure I get the gang finished off, but not a lot for me as my collection seems to centre on the G1 cartoon cast, as the comic US or UK wasn’t my connection to any of the characters.

Having said that I am having trouble not putting a pre order in for Tarn, as he looks awesome!

It might be just me, but after the reveals it occurred to me, where are the reveals for the final 2 SS86 Dinobots? Surely they are a sure thing, but there doesn’t appear to have been any word about them recently and I would have thought we would have seen something of them even if it might have been seen as them taking a spot that could have been used for more of a surprise reveal.

 

Snarl has appeared on one of leaked listings. No word on Swoop yet.

 

Belatedly preordered the set. This is probably the most I've ever spent in 1 go for effectively toys. Although did pay with paypal later so not sure if it counts, but my god do I want SS Ironhide.

Not sure I want to get back into collecting lads  

 

They did mention that "Apparently COVID is still a thing" with regards to there being nothing above Voyager available in Legacy for reveal as Pulsecon, perhaps that also applied to Leader class SS86 too?

 

To the fine folk on here who already have Toy deco Cyclonus - are the stickers any good, or would it be wise to invest in the Toyhax set?

Think all we've seen listing wise for ss86 is brawn and the hot rod "variant" ean5010993940110 which is supposedly magenta

Ironically, probably did cost me more that the gaga boxset!! Trion was near 30 with postage, and when the potp leaders were first hitting shelves it was 60 each because the b word had its fun with imports.

Still... at least that was a massive leader and a voyager for that price.

I thought Pulsecon was lacking, no better than a normal fan first stream. No Victory Saber, no Studio Series. G.I Joe had no o ring / retro / Skystriker update. They've hyped up the event but I'm not sure what the overall point in it is. Doubly so on people's wallets if they collect multiple franchises and all the pre orders go up in 48 hours. Spread it out a bit and I might have considered ordering more.
