Always loved that Botcon Terrorsaur. I like to imagine what characters look like in their Cybertronian forms, although it’s an Earth jet so I don’t know what the background is with that release?

For young kids yes, I they will very rarely care about a character that isn't a big name...but this is where the packaging comes in. Take say, Paleotrex. The FUCK is he? Oh but look at that package art of his alt mode. Looks awesome. Kids bugs parents to buy. You still see a lot of parents telling their kids to pick a toy off a shelf so the packaging helps

Yeah this is usually what happens, I’m personally not a fan of the boneformers apart from Transmutate but whenever I’ve been in Smyths and there’s a kid and parent also looking at the transformers section the kids are infatuated with the concept of the “skeleton dinosaur”. The others tend to get passed on, so it’s all about the gimmicks rather than what characters get made.

Paleotrex is just an example. I'm sure the likes of Crankcase will sell to at least a few kuds because"Oh he's got cool guns and I like the colours" as such.

I don't think they thought too hard about beyond 'Beast Wars Character but with vehicle mode'. I could totally see Cybertronian Terry with the FOC seeker body working

"Waves" dont really exist in the way they used to where you receive all of the wave in a set assortment e.g 2 Ratchets, 2 Brawns, 2 Wheeljacks & 2 Perceptors. Mostly everything is now packed individually e.g. 8 Ratchets which leads to different delivery times.

My 'no stress nuyimg everything in sight' thing really didn't work. I have MOTU Origins Buzz Off, Jitsu, Mosquitor, Ram Man, & Battlecat en route, along with Perceptor & Lift Ticket. Oops...

I'm still slightly irked that I can't seem to get a cheap Smyths Airrazor anywhere nearby. The similarly cheap vintage Rattrap calls to me too, but alas. Nevermind, I have plenty to be getting on with, especially if Blaster hits next week too!

I have a MISB Airazor sitting around if you want it at some point. I accidentally got two of her, and I'd be happy to send her your way if you want.

Keep it in mind in case the need gets too strong :lol

Happy Chinese New Year to everyone celebrating!

Appropriately enough, picked up Tigatron from the sorting office today. Ravage too, but I’m not sure the Beeflick one is even meant to be a feline.

Thanks - I'd absolutely take you up on that but I've just blown the robot budget on MOTU Origins figures instead!

Indeed, happy Chinese New Year to those who observe it!

What are the odds we'll have another Transformers Tuesday then?

I mean we have had consistent TTs, right? Last week was guard. Maybe they'll reveal Armada Cyc?

Should be soon. We’re meant to hear about Legacy wave 2 soonish apparently, would be nice to get some renders at least of one or two of the new ones. I want to see Tarantulas

There's a few different spellings, and there's Mandarin versus Cantonese, plus the fact that phrase most people use doesn't mean what they think it means. So, rather than offend anyone, or make a tit of myself...

"Happy New Year" to all those who observe the Chinese calendar :D

I mean I'm already on-board for Bulkhead-but-modern-G1 but I will gaze longingly at him in a video review!

Punted on some Fixative sprays for future sticker future-proofing (one gloss, one satin), after flirting with a Big Evil bulk buy I went local instead as the options were all Amazon EU stock which apparently negated the free £20+ delivery, and though listed as In-Stock Kingdom Blaster the Delivery ETA is "Usually dispatched in 1 to 2 months", as it happened the £18.10 for the two cans from Photo Paper Direct was enough for their Free Delivery, so Yah, Boo sucks to be you, Bezos!

Now if only my LEGO bits for 'Plex would get their pegs out!

That'd explain why most of my orders have been delayed by a single figure being late - I hope it doesn't happen this time.
I think they'll want to leave their mainline non-core reveals for a Fan Friday, especially with the toy fairs cancelled and the other Hasbro teams planning FFs of their own.

Daaaamn, Convoy. That looks great :)

Despite having no familial or personal connection to China, any excuse to cook something tasty, so we have often quietly "celebrated" Chinese New Year by digging through the appropriate cookbooks and making our own pot sticker dumplings, steamed buns along with more takeaway-familiar dishes like chow mein. Time got away from us this year, but maybe next year.

I read on another thread that the Buzzworthy Bumblebee packaging features Mirage. I haven't picked up either the Siege or the 2pack Earthrise one, because I'm not particularly attached to the character, but he *is* the last full-size Ark crewmember I need so there would be a certain 1984 satisfaction to pick one up. I genuinely don't mind whether they use Siege or Earthrise as the base, but what changes do we reckon they'll make to ensure that completist collectors rage-purchase him?
