Was the first time I’d found him for a fair price since his release, not found the 2 pack at a sensible price so I had to go with what was available. More than happy with him at that price though, and yeah I prefer this mold to the 3 you mentioned  

 

SG Jetfire landed today. He’s quite striking.

Unfortunately, mine has a large number of minor issues which leads to a poor level of finish for a near £100 item.

I will be contacting Hasbro to return :-(

Aww that's a really sweet thing you did for your daughter   And man I keep meaning to track down Marvel Rising. As you might have gathered I'm as big a fan of female superheroes as I am of fembots and that sounds great fun from what I've heard of it   As for Inara Ms Marvel... clearly she's an alternate universe version of Ms Marvel who isn't Kamala Khan but instead Inara DZeeD

Edit: So I've settled on a tentative name for my SG Jetfire repurpose: Nightfire. Headcanon is maybe he's a clone of Jetfire made to be loyal to the Decepticons or something? I did ponder just Skyfire but decided to go a step further and Nightfire seems appropriate considering his deco.

 

Soooo... my mates are isolating with Covid, my brother's not interested in seeing it and my wife spoke to her dad and now is too scared of omicron to go to the cinema. I might go see Spiderman on my own... Is that weird? not done it before, feels weird. but also, like very fucking cool. hmmm...

Spoilers - I'm not a fan of things I like being spoiled, but my mate loves them to the point where he'll read the last chapter of a book before starting it. We don't understand each other.

Galaxy Squad was great, and a shame it couldn't last more than a single wave. I didn't get a lot, but I still have the starfighter doodad assembled, as it is part of a long tradition of super-rad reasonably-priced small spaceships that inevitably rock.

I'm not much into G1 toys, but even I happily admit that Hot Rod is one of the better designs.

 

My wife can take or leave the cinema, so although she's started coming to MCU stuff more recently, I've seen a load of them on my own, and I also remember I watched all three Hobbit films without her (she's not a big fan of the longer films anyway). Possibly also the star wars sequels? She's watched them all on dvd as soon as they come out, but if I want to see it and she's not overly keen, I'll go on my own.

 

Indeed! Such a shame Red Squad got rather shafted... I think most their stuff appeared in Insectoid sets and they never got a big command vehicle type set.

 

I almost always go to the cinema on my own - back in the before times, if you went to the first showing you'd pretty much have the cinema to yourself. Bliss.

 

Definitely not the going rate! Also aren’t they rumoured to be reissued in G1 packaging as well.

What's incredible to me is growing up there were any amount of Hulks that looked better than what Hasbro have been putting out, ranging from cheap figures to rubber statues! I mean even some of the clunkers were more recognisably Hulk in their expressions. I think they want particular expressions but the scale of the overall figure is way off from it's inspiration  

With the GF not watching half the stuff I do, I used to go to the cinema alone all the time. Loved it! Means I actually got there on time too  

 

Managed to pick up a Titans Return Top Spin a few years back, but Twin Twist was already going for silly money so I've been stuck with a missing Wrecker for awhile now. Fingers crossed the rumours of new versions of the both in 2023 turn out to be true.

I have a feeling we'll get a Blastaar repaint of that Ulik. It's too much of an easy no-brainer to leave on the table.

Mind you, I thought Box from The Black Widow Crimson Dynamo BAF was too and that clearly ain't happening anytime soon, so maybe not eh?

It's a shame I don't give a fuck about Maggot as that is a REALLY nice looking figure!

It is a shame about Hulk, though, as I've been in the market for a good new Hulk for ages and missed the other last decent one - Marvel Selects 'Immortal Hulk' - but I reckon we'll see some custom heads for him that may well look a lot better than the stock ones. I'll certainly be keeping an eye on Instagram and eBay.

 

I prefer going by myself - less hassle organising people and you can go when you want, But I feel guilty these days not inviting a mate who doesn't drive so can't easily go himself.
