The new Wind Raider sort of makes Origins Grayskull look small.

So I paid for a transaction using the pay in 3 paypal option. My bank seems to have authorised this twice---once on the date of the transaction for 1/3 of the amount, then once again today [which Paypal have emailed me about to say thanks for the payment]. Is this normal? Next payment should have been boxing day. Is it something that evens out in the next few days in balances? It looks like the error is on the bank's side as it only shows the 1 payment in the paypal website.

    Hmmm

Such good bots. Jumpstarters have no right to look so great.

While I'm usually more into flyers and more colourful bots, I think I like Twintwist more nowadays. There's something really fun about his compact boxy alt mode. Quite what a tank with drills on it would be for is another matter. One for the ages.

Weirdly Revolutionaries turned out to be pretty great. Revolution itself was tedious bobbins, as was First Strike, but Revolutionaries was a fun little team-up that told an effective story without too much bombast. Honestly I think if IDW had planned things better they could (and should) have centred the entire universe around it, and have all the solo franchise series orbiting it, like Avengers or Justice League.

I dunno. IDW, like Dreamwave before them, have a strong case for remaining in control of the licence because Marvel would demand a lot more ownership and control than I think Hasbro would want to give up. Plus... there's been three attempts at carrying on the OG Marvel series story, and all have been a bit crap.

Sorry, but I hate Regeneration One. Really hate it.

I still kinda wonder if the deluxe Energon Monster won't just be a clear green Wingfinger. And yeah, I'd totally get one.

Also I'm in the market for a Purple Paleotrex if anyone's looking to move one on?

I was about to suggest DC pick it up, but then I remembered DC's penchant for rebooting the universe over and over again the moment they think people might be complaining... and no. No thanks.

Also the prospect of having a Doctor Manhattan / Optimus Prime crossover team-up gives me the willies.

I'm in two minds. On the one hand new hands and faceplates are definitely right up my street, and they're what I kinda wanted all along... but on the other I can't help but wonder if this isn't really worth the faff? Especially of fitting new hands. If the price is right (and it works with the Selects release) I might go in for it, but otherwise I dunno.

MTMTE drew new people to the fandom. It created serious buzz outside the echo chamber, and that is always, always a good thing.

'Keep politics out of it' usually just translates to 'keep the politics I don't personally agree with out of it'.
Gotta love how Daniel falling over just makes him look like he's having a temper tantrum. Very in-character.

That... is a very metal mental image! :lol

... is it weird thatthe most disconcerting part of that image for me is a skeleton having a tongue?

I mean, if it looked nothing like her they might not have needed her approval, just the BBC's as the character belongs to them? I'm reminded of some years ago my brother played a Bond game which wasn't based on any of the movies but was an original story and they couldn't get the rights to any actors but they did a pretty great job of the character designs looking like the characters but not any one actor who played them :)

    Oh my :jawdropper:
STOP TRYING TO ENABLE ME DAMMIT!

Same. Coming across Lug and Anode on TFWiki are what got me interested in MTMTE/LL before I knew anything else about it.

Wowza! Quite the display! Are those all ones you delivered?

Very cool! A Dinobot in my birth month: Acceptable! Though I would not have turned down Optimus Prima :lol

As for payment hmm I don't get payed till the £15th... might it be possible to pay a deposit or something? I've bought from a few people in here, they can tell you I'm good for it :thumb

...ok I'm gonna need a Wingfinger!

    What an arsehole!?

:lol Indeed! And I mean, the original cartoon premise rather had a bit of an environmental undercurrent with how they'd drained their own world's resources and now were trying to do the same to Earth.

Naturally, they've been in his mouth!

I'd have loved for more volumes of Revolutionaries, it was great fun!

    Very, very well said!

    :lol  Too true.

Gigawatt arrived, however the only pic I've taken thus far is horribly blurred. He's fun for what he is and I'm impressed by several of the mods to the Sideswipe base, but I'm glad I didn't pay over the odds for him. Thanks Kapow!

Welp, made the start on OG Bebop and it does twice as much in near enough half the time.
Turns out that the writers of NuBebop must think "Agency" is a finite resource because they absolutely robbed Katerina Solensan of hers in the adaptation to supposedly use elsewhere, making her an heiress involved with her rough trade lover (possibly running away from an abusive father), not a poor lass looking to escape the poverty & squalor of life on a backwater colony. I actually forgot she does some guntoting herself, including offing Asimov herself when she realises he's lost it to red eye psychosis just before her own tragic demise!
What a damned shame. She was really something.
And now I want to watch the 1975 Farewell, My Lovely with Robert Mitchum's pitch perfect slightly over-the-hill older Marlowe.

Oh yeah, no I remember that! always happy to supply boxes!
Also and further to….the Optus Nox thread has confirmed that the PSX version comes with the art, a battle damaged Nox head and a battle damaged Pexus head too. So cuddles and kisses all round as MMC have catered for everyone it seems.

If anyone does want the Golden disc boxes then let me know and I will open them carefully instead of my usual impression of a 4 year old opening presents.

@CZ Hazard - do would you mind naming and shaming the dodgy buyer’s eBay name? Just so I (and I imagine others) can add to the block list!

But I never make any tupos. ;)

No sweat. It was a very close thing between your pic and @nice sideburns, but a) I like Slag(s) and b) Andy's pic was just a bit too thematically similar to Maz's 2017 calendar pic. It was very very close!

No problem, I also do it because I get an amazing (if I say so myself) calendar that (IMO) is better than pretty much all the other ones out there. (Ooo, get him.)

There were a LOT of Optimus Primes this year! He just... featured in so many pics. As to payment I won't ask for monies until after the 8th anyway, and even then there's no rush, as I won't actually need the money until the printing is done.

    the blue willies?

I FUCKING KNEW IT. I don't ever preorder anywhere that wants full payment up front so I've hardly ever used PSX and previously I felt like I missed nowt, but that Optus Pex head was something they should have done with the original bloody figure in the first place.

I just paid my Kapow invoice for him and although it worked out cheaper I'm still annoyed.

BTW, regarding the Sabertooth fossilizer - wasn't there one in the original Kingdom artwork that got cancelled?

Wow, this is a really well done move!

Is there a list somewhere of all the exclusives that have come with MMC figures?

I only learnt about the PSX thing when ordering Nox. Curious what came with other figures I own.

my current exchange with Sonner Toys is excruciating! Decided to cancel on SG Prime and Ratchet as they're clearly never coming. It's been way over 6 months now so a little nervy, but Sonner are (just about) reputable enough for me to not be too worried, yet.

1st Nov - Emailed them to cancel.
    wait 5 days, nothing.
    Emailed again.
wait 6 days, got a reply saying its been processed for me.
wait 4 days, no sign of refund.
I emailed to get an update.
wait 8 days! get a reply saying paypal gateway closed, confirm my paypal add
I replied to them within 1 hour!
wait 6 days, get a reply saying this will be actioned for me.
That was monday. Obviously no sign of refund/cancellation!

may give them a day or so more, then im gonna get a bit shouty!
