If you're gaming on a budget a big advantage of being in the Microsoft ecosystem is their rewards program. It basically requires you spend a few minutes a day doing quizzes, searches, dashboard tasks and you roughly end up with enough points every month to get the Game Pass or Gold services free. Games Pass gives you a vast library of games to play and Gold gives you four games a month, two of which you then own. Earn over a couple of accounts and you should be able to build a decent little games library quite quickly. Personally I'd recommend getting a Series S over a standard One, I think it's worth the extra money. It's faster, smaller, more energy efficient, improves how games run and play, so overall worth the 250, especially if it's bundled with some games. @Lothar Hex Condolences to you and your extended family. An awful thing to have happened.
