I'm pretty pleased to see them go to retail as well, because not everyone wants to take the risk on a Kickstarter-esque system that's only going to pay out in a year's time. That said, I did back it all last year and so hopefully will have it in my hands in about 2 weeks or so when Zavvi pull their finger out. My understanding from the @heroquest twitter is that the two re-done expansions will be made commercially available, it's just the KS 'stretch goal' minis and expansion that won't be available. Which I suppose is good - people who committed to the KS can still feel special, but really everyone else is able to benefit from having a pretty massive game experience. Any Warhammer painting nerds in here? I haven't painted minis for maybe 20 years (and wasn't hugely proficient or committed to it even then) but quite fancy painting all the plastic that's going to come with the game. Might do my old Space Crusade if that goes well too. At least the internet is absolutely full of advice and tutorials about these sorts of things!
