Until you pointed it out Sid no, the benefits of taking a harder line on the Ignore Policy of late.

Life's getting a bit short to spend it on stuff like that. Rage-quitting is SO 2012.

Nah, because they're not for free. They're professional Youtubers who do a job using a skillset they've acquired and an audience which has been built up over years.

You could do the same job and if you invested the hours over a few years you might also build up your channel to the point where you get sent stuff for free. Or you could get a 'normal' job and just spend disposable income on a relaxing hobby completely free of any obligation to spend hours putting together and editing a review that may or may not best reflect your feelings.

Now if you want to get mad at Alphabet for lacing YouTube with adverts and paying the reviewers very small sums of money whilst selling YOUR data to anyone and everyone, while getting into bed with the US military with arms development, and developing AI that will put millions of people out of work in the next twenty years, that might be a good use of your energy.

I don't know as I'd go as far as to say jealous because much of it is stuff I wouldn't want even for free but it doesn't endear me to YouTubers in general as most of them appear to be self serving parasites who're far too in love with the sound of their own voices.

Nope, for the simple reason I can’t think of a punishment worse than having to make review videos for YouTube. I think any enthusiasm for any hobby would be kicked out of me by that. Fair play for the dudes who want to do that, but it’s not for me!

I was all set to do a Youtube channel a while ago - pretty much avoiding TFs aside from custom tutorials, as there's plenty of folk who do a good enough job already and I'm more interested in covering things that get less exposure like Hexa Gear et al - but after filming a few things all of the enthusiasm got sucked out of the idea and it felt like a chore, however, having seen the two excruciatingly awful attempts at 'reviewing' the Archecore Frost Light I'm feeling very much like something that cool deserves a better job so I may as well damn well do it myself.

Watch this space (but not too closely as depression and anhedonia will probably out paid to the idea).

If this is the generations select recolour then I’d be tempted to get Bulkhead…. 00D08477-8D6D-40B1-ACEA-5DE165BE670B.jpeg

    Ebay:
Good work on the long walk man, shame it was doughnut free. Wreck-gar isn't bad at all. He is a pure snail though with that backpack.

    The villains!

    Tigerhawk?

And you just know some folks will be pre-ordering it anyway, so 4 months down the line they can spend a week moaning about how bad it is again. And repeat the process with any repaints.

The human race expends so much energy on negativity. Why bother willfully submitting themselves to rage over a pair of fecking toys? Tis better to try and find hope in adversity folks.

    Hope for love.

    Hope for peace.

    Hope for cake.

Hope for a wave of cheap FE bulkheads to get slammed onto eBay.

That's who Bulkhead reminded me of......from back when Scouts/Basics were the best part of some Lines and had as much mass as some of Today's Deluxes. IMG_20211021_170136.jpg

The Botcon Huffer version was my Huffer for ages, and I love the Black S7 version too (just think, a Black version that didn't have to be Nemesis-Anything to get made.) Now to find which cupboard they got stored/buried in.....

Both those are much better bulkheads. Didn't know mmc did one.

Well, ginally opened kingdom rodimus today. He's really rather nice. You do need to be in for the entire package for the money to be worth it, and even then, 80 is reeeeally pushing it, never mind 93, but I'm happy to have him. A diplomat trying to keep galactic peace following an eons long war. Inferiority complex by following a legend. Heavy guilt by his role in the death of that legend. Trying to take a hard nose line against the recurring decepticon infiltrations. Learning the truth of his species and having to fight against his creators. Trying to rebuild a devastated cybertron. A fun loving teenager forced to grow into a leader of an entire species overnight and trying to hold onto his youth while dealing with his responsibilities. There is so much to rodimus, it's a shame he doesn't appear much and is mostly hot rod.

Anyone got any tips on gettihis spoiler clipped in for robot mode? Got the windshield in, but the spoiler tabs seem to be just above the hole in the windshield for them and i can't seem to get them to drop down into place.

The Beast Wars era bots are basically Micromaster sized, I gather some expanded universe stuff runs with directly having them be an evolution of Micromasters and Pretender tech. Kingdom upscaled them considerably.

And he has feet too! I always found it odd that we suddenly reverted to no feet during CW and on figures like Siege Prowl.

Reviewing things that don't get the exposure is a decent idea and if you ever manage to do some videos I'd certainly give 'em go...any chance of doing some 3rd party Legends? ;)

It's the people wanting to be celebrities off the back of toy reviews that I find the most offputting especially the ones that act like their opinion is the only one that matters. and anyone who disagrees isn't a "true" collector.

For me the toy should always be the star, if someone can do an articulate review whilst keeping the self promotion to an absolute minimum then I might watch with the sound on for the entirety but so many have me going for mute after less than a minute :D

    @MyTea Boc,
The route is one I've done before and actually ends up being a loop that takes me down the side of the canal that comes out round the corner from my street. If I do it the opposite way I have to walk up a very big hill but I played safe and went the other way :D

I think I'll end up ordering the doughnuts online as I neither Morrisons or Tesco in town has them either.

    @Siege Fan,
Here's the NWO top I got from that ebay store on the Ultimate Edition Hollywood Hogan,
[IMG]Hollywood 1 by Brendan Mitchell, on Flickr
It fits pretty well and obviously doesn't have the velcro down the middle like the stock one.

    Speaking of which,
[IMG]Hollywood 2 by Brendan Mitchell, on Flickr

As an "Ultimate Edition" this figure is somewhat closer to being more definitive than others in the line although not without room for improvement namely,

1.The skintone needs to be considerably more orange brother!
2.Range of motion on the butterfly joints isn't great.
3.Could have done with a set of open palmed gloved hands and a spray can.
4.The sculpted boas are slightly too big so if you put them on whilst doing the air guitar with the belt pose the bandana and glasses keep falling off.

Easily the best NWO Hogan figure so far though, some nice detailing on his tights and boots and all 3 headsculpts are excellent, to the point I wouldn't mind them all being reused with tweaked paint apps for various versions of red & yellow Hogan....the Amazon Exclusive already has but was slightly lacking on the paint apps because they didn't darken his 'tache to be accurate for the event the figure was based on so I'll be intrested to see what the Wrestlemania 1 version looks like.

"Where is Bulkhead?" "I'll do you one better: Who is Bulkhead?" "I'll do you one better: Why is Bulkhead?"

    I'm no expert, but I don't think he's playing that guitar :D

He can play bass though as he did so in bar bands around Florida pre-wrestling.

Hulk even claimed Metallica wanted him as their original bassist which is one of the more spectacular lies he's perpetrated over the years....when asked Lars Ulrich said he's never even met him :D
