I appreciate I am probably one of the 9 people in the fandom that is actually going to display him this way :D

Do you reckon £120 would be better spent on Platinum Trypticon (mint) or a brand new Ark? Again thinking playset for minis.

I don't have either, but I'm aware Trypticon has had hip issues. Can probably be helped, but not sure.

But we've seen you can get the Ark for less than £120. I believe Hamleys is currently £108 using a code?

Platinum Trypicon is pure G1 nostalgia, I think @Genodectes meant Titan Trypicon that was released a few years ago but I could be wrong. Titan Trypicon did have hip issues. I had to mod mine and cut the springs down which is a reasonably easy job but needs doing from new or risks permanent damage.

Personally, there looks to be much more play value in the Ark. A few minor paint details cleaned up as per the below and it looks great.

    Lol :D

It occurred to me earlier, though I've not tried it, that if you don't have Mainframe in there you could totally sit a small Voyager or Deluxe or something in there and look out the window, maybe use it as a shuttle in a photocomic or something? This warrants further investigation and photographic documentation!

As for how they get in? Editing! (To paraphrase @Subdurmal :D  )

But... how can we be sure you're telling the truth now?  But if you putting :D  there means you're lying about that, then that means the statement of putting :D  is itself a lie... but if that's the case then- :bay

Oooh nice thought! Sadly the only OSKOs I remember seeing for BB have been Bumblebee and Optimus.

Hmm not as massive as I thought but still a bit big for my liking I think. Also not keen on the proportions.

I suspect a factor could be that at the end of the day Galactus is still a giant figure, whereas Victory Saber is a guy who can be put inside another guy and combine with another guy to make a bigger guy... and also transform into a spaceship which can make a bigger spaceship etc etc

    That works?!

    That looks pretty cool! :lol

...where does it need to be snorted from to get G3?

    Nice.

    Also... Penis?

As a playset go Trypticon. Even the wee platinum set has more interaction with smaller bots. Ark doesn't really have that playset thing going for it

Sadly not included in the purchase options, I'm afraid. :p
When it comes to Trypticon, I'd say Titans Return (or Takara LG) over Platinum, as the new auld fella is smaller overall (even if he can walk the walk under his own power).
This isn't the best advice to my knowledge, as you got lucky there, it's a material quirk of springs that clipping them might not actually decrease their spring strength in all cases, the best course of action is the one in Seibetron's thorough handy broken hip prevention guide of working/compressing the springs to get the excess sprung tension out, I'd also point any potential Tryptie Purchaser towards our very own @Rotorstorm's excellent tail fix guide for the other main issue. Well worth the time investment in doing both for your continued Dinosaur city enjoyment!

I think it’s already sighted in Asia unless I am getting my Galvatron mixed up.

When someone mentions tax/VAT/importing i immediately think of my mate, Dave!

Just finished the last couple of episodes of Gone Fishing.

Upon reflection I am now wondering whether the chest pain I've experienced this past week was in part due to laughing like a madman from start to finish of every episode.

I got a bonus chuckle when Feargal Sharkey was in one episode as it reminded me of a drunken Rodney Trotter calling him Shergal Farkey :D

That was mainly what I was thinking, potentially the transformation being from ship to playset/base/diorama, as there'd be no need for a robot mode for a fan backed item.

And some kind of cardboard Mt St Hilary cutout as one of the backer tiers of course ;)

I wish that had got made... or even that Battle Unicorn hadn't been such a limited run. Basically I'd love a transforming horsie :D

Cheers Chris, I did check in on tfsafari just the other day with the express purpose of seeing if they had updated their 3P Diaclone bits but these weren’t showing at the time. Getting me that cherry picker for sure!

To be a fly on the wall for the board meetings for both g2 and BW.

"So, Robots in Disguise right? Do you think if we bring back enough Autobots and Decepticons as neon green, yellow and red vehicles that amongst themselves they can hide?"

"Give Prime a trailer with his name and an exclamation point on it and it won't matter. Bob?"

"So metal robots that turn into animals--wait, hear me out..!"

  I've always wondered what this emoticon means since we're on the subject. :D

C'mon man, it was right there.

"Hi-ho Silverbolt...awaaaaay!" (transforming noises as Silverbolt transforms to plane then Unicorn mode as Prime mounts him and they fly off) :D
