Both half of that figure are great, they just never quite felt like they belonged on the same figure to me. You've made it look very decent though!

My Snarl wasn’t in great condition, but at least it wasn’t replaced by herbal medicine like Sludge!

I paid £26 for Skelegod and he isn't even worth that. He'll be 20 soon enough and 15 not long after, he's already on Bargain Max.

Yeah, current pinless Spidey definitely needs good lighting!

I make that 5:30pm on Friday, UK time - Wallet fire extinguishers, on standby.

Only 40 minutes long though, which is a big worry! The Hall of Fame stuff will probably take up a good 15-20 minutes of the time. So I'm starting to doubt that we are going to see many new figures. :(

The OSKO version of Grimlock seems better coping with the design requirements of a triple changing bot. The larger scale seems to absorb his faults.

    Ebay:
Just a reminder guys. I'm taking pics later today, ready for ebay listing tomorrow evening if not sold on here by then.

All prices are for PayPal f&f and include postage. Obviously multiple items will be grouped and can be discounted accordingly.
    • Quintesson Pit of Judgement, MISB, £105
    • Earthrise Quintesson Judge, MISB, £22
    • Mech Fans Toys MS37 'Veteran' (Legends scale Kup), MIB, £17
    • Mech Fans Toys MS19 'Flame Commander' (Legends scale Rodimus), MIB, £35
    • Dx9 War in Pocket Dinobots Box Set (all 5 Legends scale Dinobots) MIB, £75
The MIB items have literally just been opened and inspected for damage then reboxed to await final display, which is now not happening in the way I'd planned.

My feedback on ebay is 100% (4249david), and a few folks on here have dealt with me via the UK thread.

Just whizz me a DM if you're interested in anything.

I'll prompt again later, with some 'basic' pics.

Having briefly owned an MP52 and watched my share of reviews for DS Screamer, their transformation is night and day, For all it's QS, MP52 was a joy to transform whereas DS looks like something you put down mid-transformation, go for a long walk to cool down, then come back to try again. It's certainly very ambitious but looks like something that was designed in CAD, looked like it worked and then called it a day without trying a physical prototype.

I am firmly on the MP52 Screamer side.

From Bobbys previous videos I could tell he preferred the Maketoys between all 3 so it's no real surprise

Interesting chatter on the 3P scene yesterday folks, cheers for all the input.

If anything we may be headed for another 2013-2015 era but in reverse; CHUG is now dominant and MP is fading.

Personally and with few exceptions, 3P Mp-style figures have become a bit stale or cumbersome, or rather they have not progressed much since 2016 or so. Speaking strictly on the MP level, Takara is leaps and bounds ahead from the days of MP Prowl/Wheeljack [not that they were ever bad figures, mind you]. MP Sunstreaker and all his repaints may possibly be among the best bang for your buck figure in the line and he manages to do so while also being fun to transform. MP 52 Starscream, for all his QS faults, was an absolute joy to shift back and forth.

In parallel, 3P MPs have not yet hit that level, with some exceptions. MMC perfection figures seem to follow Takara's footsteps more closely as in they do quirky transformations in an easy and fun way. X-Transbots has way more misses than hits. FT figures are IMO very hit and miss---they all look great but transformations are far from ideal.

Admittedly I haven't handled any Legends class 3P figures in a while. They look ace with fun transformations but Newage as of lately seems to be more concerned with sticking it to MS rather than putting out finished product.

With the few remaining 3P companies trying to out-G1 each other it may be that their sales will diminish so much they may just go FP/MT's way.

Can't wait to see Sludge too. Although my preference would be for a toy head, I'm cool with toon head

If you were to go for another MP Starscream, which would you choose having had MP52 and watched some of these comparison reviews? MP52 again or one of these two?

I think people would respect that recent review if he had just said personal preference was for MT irrespective of how the comparison ends up rather than gaming the system he went with. He could have added if you have MT Starscream, not worth moving over to DS. Those that have MP 11 it’s definitely worth going with DS or MT. Like with most things personal taste.

IDT have MP52 for sale at £250. I think the PO prices started at £180 ish. Either MT or DS at £100/£120 is more bang for your buck despite a heavier going transformation in the case of DS Crimson Wings. How often are MP collectors transforming their figures? Having got XTB Monolith, any transformation compared to that trailer will be a walk in the park as far as I’m concerned. :)

Thanks to all for the advice, it was actually exactly like GT said, I left him in dwarf mode last night, picked him up this morning and pulled the legs out straightaway.

    IMG_20211017_122014.jpg

He is absolutely gorgeous. Like I said before, my first experience of MP10 and wow, the look, the shininess, the posability, just fantastic.

I also loved this little piece in the instructions, makes it seem like a labour of love rather than cynical corporate synergy :
