Same here, Great artist, just not a great fit for a TF book as the characters knd of looked like humans cosplaying as robots.
(But this is from someone who loves Dan Reeds art, so take this opinion with a pinch of salt :lol  )

Indeed! In the days before parenthood and bedtime before 10 :lol

Yeah, fantastic figure. Both modes are absolutely lovely. I'd love more stuff in this vein, or for 3P to go for some stuff like Darkwing/Dreadwind instead of, as you say 6 Springers.

I've also really enjoyed the Cang Toys Preds as they aren't focused on cartoon accuracy and give me nice flashbacks to when the Feralcons came out.

    How do I get one?

KFC have MP Buster and Hydra designs in the bag but they've sat on them for about 4 years now.

Aye, i was excited 4 years ago and it still persists!

Worth DMing Matt on Twitter or the TMUK Hub if you're on there. He sold them directly.
I know he's made absolutely loads of these so may be taking a break.
But well worth getting your name in there for the inevitable next batch.

    Hey thread dwellers!

Has anyone tried taking apart the Siege Tatrajet mould, specifically the air intakes/pointy shoulders/nose cone sections?
Perhaps I need a pry tool of some such?
    Any help appreciated! ;)

I always limited my usage of facebook to a dozen posts per year and the occasional birthday reminder.
I discovered fb groups for TFs, and the comments and rants about each and every price are making me regret I ever had an account. Blocking helps, but it's like swatting mosquitos, might as well close the window...

I have always been a big 3rd party fan because they make more things I want to a more premium standard than the majority of official stuff and are increasingly better value for money compared to main line releases because you get a finished product.

There isn't a single 3rd party Legends scale figure where I have needed to spend extra on a filler kit because of unsightly gaps and gouges all over the place or had to buy other extras such as their signature weapons because the company in question were too cheap to include them.

They're generally very well made and have consistently good paint apps as well as other extras such as alternate hands heads/faces or bonus weapons as featured with the early Iron Factory releases, something I wished they'd continued with.

That to me makes them worth the money.

    Figures on my radar,

    3rd party,
Newage Stunticons ( They've only shown a render for Breakdown so far but I'm expecting great things from this because they do carbots insanely well. )
Newage Optimus Prime ( Toy deco if they do one. )
    Newage Ultra Magnus
Magic Square Optimus Prime V2 ( Their first one heavily stole from MP-10 to great effect. The new one looks to be doing the same with MP-44 as the inspiration. Might go for the inevitable Nemesis repaint as something different. )
MFT Wreck-Gar ( Seeing this made me abandon ship on the Studio Series '86 version. )
Beast Wars Rampage and Depthcharge from the new company who's name presently escapes me.

    Open to,
More Iron Factory Seekers & Coneheads
More Transform Element Beast Wars ( Getting on with the 2nd production run of Scorponok wouldn't be a bad start. )

    Official,
Maybe blue Bluestreak, SG Sky Lynx if it ever happens. Rodimus if it's ever in a sale for a suitable price.

I seem to have developed something akin to Stockholm Syndrome with the new Beast Wars stuff and have bought several despite having issues with one mode or other on just about all of them so far.

I'm giving regular Tigatron a shot as it looks nicer than some of the others and I ordered Terrorsaur as the Airazor mould is my favourite so far.

Whether I go for any others remains to be seen, I think I read somewhere that Inferno is happening which is a possibility as I have the vintage toy and like that and also liked the character in the cartoon.

    That's very decent of you.

Also, when is your second book of covers out?

I've come to realise that 3P companies can basically make any version of Stunticons and I will be interested. They were my favourite team as a kid (my brother had Aerialbots, I still have his boxset) but it took me years to get a full set, it was probably deep into the 90s I finished Menasor.

    Trailer is a bitch.
Which is a shame, but oh well if it doesn’t close properly the locker’s door is going to close on it just fine.

Loving robot mode a real bunch, really really happy about that.
Transformation is way nicer that I anticipated, though the glass window scares me every Time.
All in all really happy with him ! He’s no Cyclonus, Grimlock or even Hot Rod, but yeah really really good robot.

    Just waiting for Slaaaaaaaag now.

And thank you very much @Xaran Alamas life is actually really sweet lately.
The wife is everything to me, got a new job which is kinda really tiring but i love my crew there, and there’s an october warm sun.

Hope you and all of you are good.
    I mean it.

    Love you, des bisous !

Nope. After the last email I've pushed for a partial refund. Either way it looks like I'll have to search for the 3p horns which is not the end of the world, but the back and forth stings as I've supported the store with 95% of my UK purchases in the last couple of years.

No worries, it's a class figure and a good cause so lots of folk should have it :thumb

V2 of the book exists in two formats in proof versions.
One with just the new images and then one with everything.

I've been experimenting with Redbubble and other print on demand sites to make an easier way for people to get the stuff i've made as I haven't the free time I once had to make, print and post things. Should have updates on this soon
