The people buying it because how do you explain that you’ve bought a toy the size of a child to your Mrs?

Seriously give me some good reasons that I can tell the wife!

I paid less for a complete boxed vintage set in 2015. $900.

The best thing about Terminus Giganticus and Haslab Unicron is I realised I don't actually want massive toys. Titan Class is sort of my limit but it has to make sense for the character, I wouldn't want an Optimus Prime that size.

The same focus groups that tell them to make comic book movies that completely change the character or origin...see Wolverine Origins, Joker and Venom.

Good films unless you know anything about the characters they are based on

On a separate note, ML Endgame Captain Marvel has triggered my OCD as they have given her full gloves on all the hands instead of the fingerless gloves she has in the film...time to try some flesh coloured paint matching

Current mood: bestial! Or should that be beastified? Infested desktop...

Very pleased re: Metroplex, as the Cybertron version was a grail of mine from the moment I realised what he turned into. :D  Top toyline, gimme more o’dat! :)  Also greedigaze pleasanted by: sneaky reissue Scorponok. The new one’s good fun but I never did find the original with all his accessories intact.

Happy weekending, everyone! And now I think it’s time for a drink. Skol! :) :D

It doesn't require feeding and will clean up after itself.

MPs. I'm only dipping in and out on the Line as is. Price, shit aesthetic switches and QC lotteries are why. I'm getting a Skids because it's obviously an older "Hasui-type" design and sub £90, and I am a sucker for the Carbots. But otherwise I'm ok & not fussed about them from here on in.

But I like the combination going for Train-dude number 1 - enough to risk a punt (and it is a risk) if it was sub £120. But not another £50 on top of that already pricey "nice to have."

And yes, I'm well aware that Japanese sites will have them for less than domestic retailers do, but with AJP "losing" a Battle Buffalo on me, and having to eat the cost of the fucking write-off that was MP Hound I'm not buying that way ever again. And with our Sellers looking at £170 I'm not buying at all.

    Simple.

Seven years ago I was paying just over £30ish to get MP cars from HLJ. Quite how that's morphed into this insanity I don't know. Freddonomics has nothing on this...

You've adopted a child from the future, just hide the box. If there's any questions shout 'At least I have a HEART!' dramatically.

Yeah at that price. £130 per fig would have been a stretch for me for £780-800 total. But a cool stack. Noooooo.

Ooooh Generations, please make this right with some affordable, play-happy choo-choo men.

I cannot justify £1000 for a combiner that I have no real attachment to... Think of the number of holes in the collection that Generations could fill with that? Think that's the plan for now!

Honestly, I know it’s MP but no combiner should come anywhere close to £500 nevermind £1000. Just madness at that point, and as you say all the holes you could fill in a Generations scale collection.

At this rate it almost looks like a Takara tactic to boost Haslab Victory Saber to get a host of fans going "F*** THAT! I'll punt on Pulse to try and get Hasbro to mainline a Raiden instead!" and max fund it! :lol

Phase 1 of Project: Shins of the (adjacent to the) Wreckers: Mags Factor is done...
    DSC_0098.jpeg DSC_0100.jpeg
Cobalt blue base coat to have a clear blue top coat in Phase 2, as no single straight blue shade I could find in Mr. Hobby looked quite enough of a match or suitable complimentary to his blue plastic's shade by my eyes.
Amazing what that bit of shin silhouette alteration does for his leg looks even at this stage though!

:D  That's the ONLY reason you like me? :(

    Aww <3

    :lol

The fans, definitely. FT are shooting for the moon, but people actually buying it?!

"How could you forget your own son, Maxy?" :(

    ...

So I took a punt on Energon Omega from @joetele but I keep flip flopping on if I like him or not x) I'm just not sure about the colours and the chonky moldness, he doesn't really GO with anyone else I have... on the other hand the way he combines from the two vehicle modes is pretty cool! I dunno. If I do end up passing him on I will of course give you lot first refusal as it feels a bit wrong to go straight to eBay when I bought it from a fellow fan who probably wanted it to go to someone who'd appreciate him :-/
    We shall see!
Hopefully once my two family birthdays this weekend are over with I can get that other stuff I've been meaning to put up up on eBay like TL Jetfire etc.

I’m not thinking of Raiden in terms of a team or combiner but more along the lines of A PLETHORA OF CHOMKERS.

Personally Takara Raiden will be my Bot Mode and Moon Studios is my Combiner mode to scale with the rest. Best of both worlds

I forgot there was a third party one in the works as well, what are the chances they get a cease and desist order from Takara?

Pretty high, given it's Zeta behind it. Remember Unicron?

    I heartily concur!
Say £180-£200 as a Selects Titan or HasLab would be far better value, even if the design was heavily simplified and compromised.

A very good point, I spend about £3-£400 a year, and would not be surprised if I've finally filled all the larger gaps in my collection by the 40th anniversary of the franchise in 2024!

    Also, go Victory Saber!
Tier 3 looks to be within spitting distance :)

I think Hasbro have got MCU iron people down to a fine art:

Damn, I haven't played a new Metroid game since... Prime 3? That was back in '07. Oof.

    20211008_183655.jpg

I loved Fusion back in the day, so I'm sure I'll have fun with this one. I just wish Nintendo would release all their old games for new platforms once in a while.

You hear that Nintendo?! LET ME GIVE YOU MONEY!!!

    Hell yeah!

Though I'm so engrossed in The Witcher III, I'm not sure I can start another game.

    Fuck it, it's Metroid.
