Today's #deskbot was my first in a long love affair with robotic tyrannosaurs. Classics Grimlock.

    20211008_094048.jpg

Never had the original as a kid and my old broken eBay acquired one discoloured to a diarrhoea brown. My old version of this also broke but got a one cheap without the gun to replace it.

Pretty sure I have 1 X Grimlock. When my Slag (eventually) turns up from IDT you can have that too :)

Listening to Triple Takeover and hearing them rave about this guy, he - and most of the Classics line - completely passed me by at the time (picked up the Prime mold as part of that movie two-pack, got Starscream but maybe that was one of his later repaints, got a KO of the Mirage mold in Fracture). I was still picking up the odd TF here and there, but not seriously collecting back in 2006.

Anybody into McFarlane DC toys? PO's have gone up for a Batman who Laughs with 3 Joker Robins pack. Having missed out on all the cheeky buggers before, this is god-sent for me.

I collect the odd one, I'm waiting on that yellow chest symbol Bats going on clearance and I need to see pics of Killing Joke Joker.

Blueberry and Raspberry pre workout coloured blast effects, and I didn’t realise he was clear bodied too. Today is bloooosh day! 2BA07BA9-BB0E-48B2-8F85-48355F351F36.jpeg B082AE34-7502-4A89-A01B-95FE05CD6382.jpeg 4F824968-B97A-467D-A2CD-8E267D06774A.jpeg

I love the blooshes from this set, the colours are so vibrant. Just wish that they gave us explosions too rather than just ones intended for thrusters and blasters

Yikes, glad no one was hurt. A neighbor of mine had their car explode a few years ago - he'd been tinkering under with the battery and a few hours later fire - then big bang. No one hurt there either. Although - as one might expect in NI - he was subject to a grilling by the police to make sure it wasn't something else. :p

I'm leaning towards being keen for cyber Plex. I enjoyed the OG figure well enough. And this guy is huge. Suppose it'll come down to how well I can afford it when it arrives next year.

When we draw lines in the sand, we divide ourselves. But we forget the tide will eventually come to wipe away the divides.
Unless you are drawing lines in a desert. In which case you can pee away the lines.

Every year since Predaking I've declared the Titans done and I don't need the next one.

    Every. Year.

So, having fully dismissed this one as not for me (space/funds/don't care) I look forward to scrambling around to buy it last minute next August. As usual.

    Another Not-Transformer. It's getting to be a habit. IMG_20211008_111139.jpg

Been such a while since anything Star Wars dropped that I actually wanted this is a bit of a shock - bunged out the door of Pulse yesterday afternoon and here at 11 this very AM. Can't argue with that.

Yeah I’d have liked a few explosions but I’m pretty happy with how this all looks, still wish he was a Predacon as that’s what I thought he was when I ordered him but it’s a fun figure and lots of paint apps.

I have made a deal with myself that I won't collect Black Series.

    Somehow this happened.

    And agreed on Titans

MPG-01 Shouki preorders available on TFsource ($210) and Robotkingdom ($179), among others.
I had only bought duplicates once with the Seacons - once, once and once.
This time I am getting a second set for the combined alt mode. Crossing fingers for MMC Signal Lancer.

I still haven't opened Wreck-Gar, Sharky and Scourge. And to be honest I might even sell them.

I think I only ever picked up Bumblebee and Jetfire from the first lot of classics. I never liked the look of Optimus and Rodimus (despite owning the Energon versions).

I think collecting took a bit of a back seat in 2006 as I spent 3 months in India and it got me out of the habit for a while. It's also why I missed a lot of Cybertron Stuff.

Back to classics, I still find it odd that I've never handled, let alone owned the seeker mold. And I've still not experienced the Earthrise one either...
