If its not too late with @Popemon I'd rather you get it. I have so many unfinished projects on the go

Who was it who was looking for the TFC Missile tank Optimus Prime? An interesting retool is on its way!

    Edit

I've just spotted the ablaze dumpster on stilts there, top work.

I see Smyths have very generously reduced the Sparkless Seeker and Optimal+Rattrap Netflix sets to… the price they originally were. Goodness knows how they decide on prices…

Slug and Wreck-Gar have been here a few days. Thought I’d like Wreck-Gar less, but I like him more of the two. Wonky right arm spike and odd shaped goatee hole being the only slight bothers about him. I’d love to see a slight retool to make a Kup/Weaponiser/Fossiliser gen selects set of mix-and-match Junkions.

Slug is… fine? I guess someone wanted to finish early, so a good few screws weren’t fully tightened, the right hip outward movement is very loose, and I think I need to take the right knee apart to tighten that up as the ratchet is really weak. Spike, like Wheelie, is still in the packet and I wish they’d either charge £5 or so extra and give them really basic transformation, or just toss them and give us a sword and better QC. I wonder if someone will make an upgrade set for the back legs to be a little less weedy - I wouldn’t mind some feet hanging around the back in return for slightly chunkier back legs…

Also this week I got MMC Saltus and KFC Doubledeck. Both rather nice. Nothing to fault on either of them, and they both look really rather grand. Saltus may well be up there with my favourite bots (along with Eris, Lightning Eagle and Double Evil) and has real heft to him. Can’t wait to actually have a shelf to put them on…

This thread moves at a pace that would surprise Lewis Hamilton!
I finished work today and thought to myself, hmmm, that shed needs to come down soon as we are building something else in its place.
    I selected several tools.
Impact driver - Dewalt of course, anything else is just nonsense!
Some speed clamps - I just like them really.
A hammer - most things can be solved with a hammer, just ask @rikkomba and all of the smashed up Magnus’ in his local Smyths.
A crow bar. Great for scratching an itchy back.
Sunglasses, it was sunny and I have sensitive eyes, and I want to look unbelievably cool whilst working.
So I donned some protective gloves and my best flip flops. I do all of my DIY in flip flops, I’m well ‘ard, me!

I took the door off with the driver, easy I thought.

You know when you get sunburn and start to peel, you start pulling and then all of a sudden you end up with something you can frame and put on a wall.
Well, I was like that with the slats.
In the end it all came down and I was like a little boy again, destroying shit!

Only took a couple of hours really.

At one point I considered using the hammer, I also wondered if I should use one of the 10 saws I have. In the end I opted to just use the crowbar to do it all. Made it much harder and it took much longer but I had chosen my weapons and I really like speed clamps so I just cracked on.

After I finished and went back in the house I noticed a box outside with my name on it.
Oooh I thought, what could this be? Inside was Allicon, a forgotten FB purchase.

The point I’m trying to make here is, when doing DIY, always keep an ear out for the doorbell as a box could arrive and be stolen from your doorstep.

    THE END

Sabre, the MP was dog tod, and so I will live vicariously through this thread, thank you very much.

    Question for the hive mind:

I managed to get hold of all 3 of the original seekers from Earthrise, but missed out on the cone heads totally (No Dirge, no Ramjet and definitely no Thrust!).

I also have no attachment to G2 at all, but is Selects Sandstorm worth £35 just to experience the mold?

It’s the transparent version of this I would want, but only a 16% chance of getting it!

    Invigorating, though?
Sorry. The audio's probably not great. It's a toy review.

Sandstorm is worth it even just as a G2 curio. There's very little difference in the mold but he looks especially good in alt mode. Plus his distribution has been so bad he'll be a collectors item in no time.

If you liked the Seekers then sure! It's a great if not minimalist deco on a solid base toy.

Always appreciated bud, please remember subtext is highly difficult to attain on the net.

Ding ding that's a winner, not too pricey at all and perfect shape. Will buy enough to do the proto shield and mould from that. £1.50 shipping as well so pretty much a bargain

I never knew I needed an ALF figure until I saw that. I loved ALF. Christ knows why...

I'm off to pick up some tramadol later to add to the increasing number of mindbending medications that I've been prescribed of late. It's just as well I haven't got any money - I dread to think if what weird stuff I'd end up buying while out of my gourd otherwise!

Apparently g2 ramjet is the winner of Earthrise seekers. Everyone who has it loves the colours. I think he's £32 at comics & cocktails

But I can't imagine it'll be much different to the seekers you already have.
