If I get these then it will be the first time I’ve bought something just because it looks cool.

I think they’ll make good background characters for Star Wars or cosmic Marvel displays.

Depends on the algorithm I guess! Watch one complaint video you'll get more like it.

He does retrospective vids, has championed Valaverse and other lines, and is linked in with a lot of the major players in the YouTube toys community. I think he's just giving his take but then I don't watch his stuff religiously either like I would our TF reviewers.

Mainly external device displays, like analysis displays from either ships' computers, or any handheld devices, and more specifically if there was ever a computer/holographic display of transwarp detection and/or analysis (like was there a visual display to accompany the revelation that BW Megs had made a deliberate Time Jump?). Basically the BW equivalent of the sort of display images on Teletraan 1 in G1 that folks like Toyhax have homaged in their sets for the various 3P toy Teletraans (and will likely do for Mainframe, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a dedicated set like previous Titan companion figures have).
I'm just rather taken with the idea of possibly getting some transparent acrylic TF accessories done somehow eventually.

EDIT: Also someone really needs to get on and make a Tiny TV Teletraan 1 with G1 on it, and maybe the schematics screens as screensavers!

I listened to his rant about how the Razor Crest should have been £150 cheaper and more widely available and rolled my eyes.

The chip on his shoulder towards all things Hasbro is the overwhelming highlight of his videos or at least the ones I've seen.

There's probably some valid points in there somewhere but he seems to be deluded about what Hasbro are.

HasLab or not, they'll always be a kids toy company so even their so called premium products will be subjected to the usual cost cutting and compromises.

If he wants proper high end products, he's looking at the wrong company.

He's also shilling for Valaverse so the anti Hasbro attitude isn't too suprising as I've read one or two things around the Internet about the owner of that company having a major hate boner for them as well.

Tbf though, he's also quite rightly put the boot into Mattel for their pishy Origins distribution, for instance. He does make some good points about what consumers are tolerating even when they shouldn't. But again, I could count on one hand his videos I've watched.

But it's all getting away from the fact Hasbro seems to have shipped a Haslab project that barely stands in many cases. At least from what I've seen, haven't had a chance to watch reviews. Didn't even know until I got a DM asking if I'd backed it lol.

Should I be concerned about backing Star Saber?

Edit: Haslab Star Saber I mean.

Hasbro missed a trick not repainting these two lil targetmasters as Marty McFly and Doc Brown!

If he's been just as hard on Mattel then OK, I've only seen videos he's done for Hasbro stuff so it's just seemed like he was only going after them.

If the Sentinel is that bad then it's something that will need to be addressed, but is it genuinely that bad across the board or one of those cases where a handful of people got bad ones and are upset then YouTube content providers twist it into being more widespread to fit whatever agenda they have for their videos?

Its the only game in town. If you want to support HasTak making cool new versions of semi-obscure characters you sort of have to back it. That's why I'm backing it even though I don't like short-ass Victory Leo (that's Ginrai ffs)

It's likely that once you get it in hand, should you hate it, you'll be able to move it on very easily.

I backed it but there's a lot recently that's gave me pause for thought like the cost of Rodimus, Shattered Glass and some serious QC issues with the super-expensive Ark. Putting out a $350 HasLab with alleged problems is not helping the icky feeling.

Oh I really dig what I see and happily back it. I just meant in relation to the mentioned QC issue of Haslab Sentinel.

The next wave of SS Bayverse Deluxes has officially been revealed and there are still no pre-orders. I find that a bit more off.

Wave 4 of Kingdom hasn't even officially been revealed yet.

I won the very same KO AOE Grimlock at the beach last Tuesday. Cost us £20 and over 1500 tickets but the whole family had fun and it was much better then what else was on offer without murdering the bank.

I think he generally stands up for what he believes in. Like there's a YouTuber called Michael Mercy who is supposedly especially catty bts. Analog there and others clubbed together and bought him Unicron only to find Mercy allegedly likes to manipulate his circle of friends somewhat. Analog puts out a video to that effect, something quite unusual for the toy community IME at least.

Yup, there's thoughts to be had about the future! Part of me backing it was the likely ability to sell it (probably at profit too) if it came to that.

I really could do with Sunday deliveries making a dedicated comeback!
    ...

Here's proper pics for the new MOTU and Super 7 stuff. Looks great!
