    A final bump before eBay!

Hope no-one minds, but back with another load of sales, I tend to bump them here a couple of times for UKers before I eventually chuck them on ebay. All prices include postage in the UK although i'd prefer payment by any method that doesnt deduct fees. Theres loads of people who have bought off me over the years who would vouch me on this thread i guess, if needed.
I've put piccys of some of the more unusual items but can send any others on request. Please PM me rather than reply in the thread as i'll miss it, i'm getting on y' know!

Yeah. That's the thing... all three modes there look like a "super" version of the one before, something that Victory Saber lacks. It's interesting that the Unicron Trilogy Primes went a different way, with their "final form" versions being alternative combinations that didn't use all the parts of their mid-tier Super modes.

That seems a bit harsh. I think Simba is a pretty good figure. I kinda enjoy how barking mad the jet mode is. It's just one of those things that when you get a new figure and it immediately gets damaged it kinda kills your enthusiasm a little bit.

I do agree that Victory Saber would look unbalanced with leg and chest upgrades. But as I implied above... with Ginrai you get the feeling that each tier is a step up in terms of power, as well as being a distinct "look". Whereas Victory Saber doesn't look different enough from Star Saber to me.

I should clarify that I absolutely love Masterpiece Star Saber, despite having no connection to the character. Its big, but it has incredible play value and looks great in all modes. It's the only reason I haven't yet backed the new version... I dunno how much better it can be.

It's also the reason why I sold my Warbotron Bruticus and replaced him with the MMC version. At some points the figures just get too big to satisfyingly fiddle with and just become display pieces. Which is cool if that's what you want, but I like them a touch more manageable.

(Yeah, I know I should use Multiquote rather than separate posts, but it's more fiddly on the phone and I keep accidentally deleting my posts.)

    Diorama is done!

Or more accurately, I'M done with it. I plopped the ready-made trees in this morning, added a few more shrubs to cover up seams and edges, and then did one final sprinkling of green and brown to give the new trees a bit more variation in their colour. And that's really all I'd planned to do. I'll be buying all my trees pre-assembled in the future as they're so much more stiff and sturdy. I just jabbed a screwdriver into the foam board to get the hole going and was able to push the tree in without anything but a few tiny crumbs coming off. So much less hassle.

It's been a learning experience. I've learned that:
    • Cutting foam board and polystyrene with a hot wire is so much fun it should be illegal.
    • I hate making trees. It is the worst.
    • The plaster rocks worked really well. If I'd known how well they'd turn out I'd have planned for more. As it is, I tore off one entire side of the upper slope to replace it with cliffs.
    • I need more shades of earth and grass next time. Just having green and greenish brown limits what you can do.
I've got ideas for the next one! I'm thinking of trying out this water stuff and making a sort of rocky cove with a shoreline. But that's in the future. For now this one will do me fine.

Excellent. I get the emails but they're not always so reliable at the moment for obvious reasons!

And now the wait to find out how we can get our hands on Road Ranger and Puffer begins!

Just image if Hasbro were able to have online Transformers fan events... They could probably reveal stuff like this before it leaked out from factory thefts.

Hopefully the whole industry goes back to smaller budget movies. Plus it might force them to improve the scripts instead of us getting meaningless dialogue just so the Chinese can butcher it for that market.

The really sensible thing to do is storyboard and lock down a script that probably now doesn't need almost a three hour run time!
