Heads-up kids - if anyone needs Transmutate and/or G2 Ramjet, FP Manchester has ONE Transmutate and TWO Ramjets in right now. Happy to pick them up and send them on if needs be but I'll need the cash sending first as I am skint.

Yeah, in one. It's really easy to do mate.

Pretty sure youtube are spot on with their algorithm. The target audience for a review of a figure that is being bought by more late 30s to mid 40s blokes than kids. We all should be aware of our prostate, and it's quite possible we're the group of people most likely to be open to importing a foreign wife too.

Happily married to a local lady, and my prostate is fine. But you know what I mean. It's a bit pigeon-holey for sure, but it's very likely that most people watching it aren't young kids.

    Poor Tailgate :<

Also, my only connection to him is via IDW but I'm finding myself starting to hope that Hasbro does do a Commander Class Overlord figure at some point :D

Yeah. It's mildly depressing, but "hey, hot young Asian ladies want to sleep with you" is probably actually a perfect advert for a lot of people who are going to watch a figure review of an 80s toy property.

Although I do wonder if they also work for kids like Let's Plays do. So maybe the target audience is 30/40 year olds and under-10s?

Of course, it's a lie in any case. No-one wants men from the UK. We're terrible.

Yep, it was indeed my HLJ car package that I missed Thursday, and as promised it was duly delivered today (big thanks to the poor, soaked Lady Postie that handed it off, today was a shitty weather day for the round - it was stair-rods earlier!). Soon, my pet, soooon!

I'd totally agree only this is the first time such ads have ever appeared. And I mean ever. It's usually Just Eat, Audible, and geeky stuff. Plus Youtube was all about content creators policing their stuff when uploading and not shy on pigeon holing content themselves.
    ...

Urgh, Sir Didley Squat having say over Alien going forward was always a bad idea.

Neill Blomkamp: ‘It’s possible Ridley Scott watched Chappie and was like: this guy can’t do Alien’

Strange that the top item under ‘new’ on Pulse is the Marvel Legends Captain Marvel and Rescue 2-pack.

More strange that it’s sold out there and on ID.

I’ve got it preordered because I want the best version of those characters but I’m surprised it’s sold out.

    Afternoon folks!

Making my first major journey since the pandemic first hit - on a train to Barnsley to go see my Dad who is in hospital diagnosed with leukaemia/ cancer of the blood. :(
Haven't seen the northerners for almost 2 years what with everything, so this visit is not under the best of circumstances.
Not looking to bring the thread down with woes but had to vent as the latest news from step Mum is not at all good and need to talk.
    :(
Haven't been to Barnsley hospital for over 40 years!

    Kingdom Rhinox mini review...

Love the headsculpt and shade of green used, and really good articulation considering the bulk, but the arms are especially great!

    20210818_153200.jpg

    20210818_152454.jpg

He was always gonna have massive shins so throw some paint dots on there FFS, Hasbro, he looks like a frigging Rock Lord!

    20210818_152425.jpg

That's all they needed and for me really hurt a stellar bot mode.

Think Tracks has a shitty leg transformation? Try Rhinox, it's like fighting with an over-engineered Kinder Egg toy. HATEFUL.

And all to get to an alt with no neck articulation, bright green shoulders and a serious lack of paint or texture on top. Jaw opens but the head's so low he's just grazing.

    20210818_161350.jpg

The worst alt in Kingdom's beasties for me so far (at least Arachnia is posable), might as well be one of those rubbery statues for kids. Only they're painted properly.

Urgh, Dr Fox is in the house. Could have been a great fig, this.

    Really sorry to hear this.

Depending on the type though there are some really good drugs available.

    Generation Selects Tricranius mini review...

More proof that funky colours can save the worst mode... ridiculously glorious.

Only thing is the usual problem with yellow paint and transparent plastic, but it's not too bad.

    20210819_114128.jpg

Alt is glorious, looks like a riot in a sweet shop. Good articulation on the neck, jaw opens, and the colours hide any small flaws and robot kibble. Captain Stamp Set decided the back right leg was the place to be (that dickhead's getting worse).

Cba doing the whole weapons bit, they just don't interest me. Or miscoloured faux combiners, sorry.

The blast effects trump the vast majority of the previous accessory pack. Seriously bright blooshing.

Can't recommend Crane Kick To The Nuts enough.

It's a translucent classics Rodimus decked out in Nemesis armour. Headcanon is that he's had to take over from the Necrobot, racing to take the dying sparks before they can be harvested for Unicron (which is what the one of the purple and black Rodders does).

No judgment here, but mine are sadly only Deliveroo, Audible and that damn Star Trek game, so pretty accurate? I mean, maybe we really should all check our prostates? :p
Of course the acid test is if Asian to you means the same kind of Asian used in the advert (east or south Asian presumably).

Not sure how I feel about the whole personalised advert thing. I mean, of course we hate the social media stuff, stop trying to put me in that echo chamber, but also fair enough if you'd rather try and sell me jeans for short blokes instead of a payday loan scams?

Shit, really sorry to hear that mate, wish you all the best.

Sorry to read this. I've recently been through a cancer situation myself (bowel cancer) and are now on chemotherapy, but they will do the best they can to help him out. Just tell him to listen to any advice and take any support they give him.

From a friend's experience I know that some experimental treatments can be life-changers too.
