You can add me to the list on this too… :)

I am not liking the confidence on breakages you are giving out here! What was the rest of the set like for issues?

I know the original Gravestone had a pretty rough waist joint that broke on a few people, Drag Strip's original run broke at the shoulders and the trailer has been a nightmare for a lot of folk.

But my own personal experience with these toy inspired releases has been hugely positive and I have enjoyed them all so far with barely an issue. Dead End and Drag Strip have fairly loose waist swivels on account of them splitting in two for Menasor mode and is a universal thing with all copies. I'm just being a bit sarky based on previous experience with XTB and their overall rep. I am hoping the trailer for this set is revised though, I wasn't that bothered about picking it up originally, but I really want to experience Menasor now.

I guess with this company and its history you really are rolling the dice at times. Which is obviously not the way it should be.

    .

I've been quite lucky with my Set, nothing has failed or broken (so far) and Original Flavour Gravestone is still in one piece - although I've probably only transformed him twice in a year and been very careful when doing so. IMG_20210807_080309.jpg

And as I'm not really doing MPs anymore (that's what she said) I keep him/them as vehicles as they are easier to stash away like that.

If the new versions sort the issues with Dragstrip and Dead end then I'd recommend the Set, they just look satisfyingly solid as a team.

Ever hear a word so often your brain puts it into your thought stream?

Yeah, I recommend not watching a load of Dave Chappelle Netflix specials in a row. That could get awkward fast

From recollection, the stress mark on the plastic hinge is widespread but has never snapped.

One person snapped his in a different place and everyone thought it was the stress spot when it wasn't. And I'm pretty sure only that one episode was posted about in the thread here.

Mine didn't stress, so it's not 100% widespread in any case.

I bought Fans Hobby Double Evil from them earlier this year.

Easy to deal with. They packaged up my order very well. Great protection.

I didn’t pay import vat at POS. Expect to pay that along with an admin fee once your order arrives in the UK and get that notice from Royal Mail/Parcelforce.

@Napalm , @Loosecannon , @4249david - my copy of Motormaster hasn’t shown stresses. Only one person on the XTB Menasor thread said their MM snapped in the waist area. I hadn’t seen anyone else saying they had experienced that. Dragstrip was the most problematic figure with weak shoulder areas. I’ve been lucky with mine. The trailer and it’s transformation to form Menasor is made awkward by its sheer size and being floppy whilst trying to firm it up. It is like you need an extra pair of hands. I found it easier laying down and working on the bottom half first before starting on the top part. XTB could have made parts more stable and better on weight bearing sections. I really think they could have not bothered with a base mode and focused more on a stronger/stable well balanced gestalt.

In the main, I’m happy with XTB Menasor.

That’s terrible news. Experienced that myself having been hired into a new business critical role. Keep the chin up and something good will come.

We don’t know each other, but as a fellow Transformers fan, I’m happy to give tips and advice re CV and interviews. Happy to do some coaching as well.

Particularly relevant if you work in procurement circles.
