Tbh, that's another thing, 200X shits all over it!

Seen a few places claim Lyn was a gay icon, but only after Revelation came out (no pun intended). I've seen it claimed that Adam and He-Man are gay icons. Wouldn't surprise me at all because obvious reasons just in the 80s intro lol, but it all feels like 'we can make this kitsch thing fit our agenda today'. Nothing insidious in that, it's just now absolute wankers on both sides are weaponising it for attention and ultimately money.

No idea about the young boys angle, but the hate for clicks crowd on YouTube is diverse and seems to skew more toward late 30s and even up to early 50s. If Hollywood wasn't so cackhanded in baiting demographics that lot wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

I would honestly cancel it. Smyths alone are gonna be swimming in them. And I think a lot of places never did sell out which is slightly unusual in itself.

Drybrushing has added lichen! I don't know what I was expecting, but it works.

If I do this again, I'll probably start with a super dark colour and use the regular grey as the highlights.

    Morning All,

So I have an Amazon UK order for Roddy and it was placed back in March. I got lucky with the price being £74. This will land 1st Sept.

I don’t have Roddy POd anywhere else.

Amazon now have Roddy up for £94 and can be delivered by tomorrow.

Surely if they now have stock in they can fulfil my PO?

Praise the TV gods, Y: The Last Man series' first trailer absolutely nails it

The books were good though somehow I never finished them. This looks well put together.

FYI, the first article I clicked on felt the need to tell me Yorick was a cisgender male. Ignore that sorta shit would be my advice because every second outlet will be spinning this somehow on release. The books handle it all brilliantly from what I read, be interesting to see if Hollywood just tells a good story.

Jump on live chat with them but you may find it's a different product no. for the pre order.

    See how you go

    Thanks Pres.

My brain works on the basis that surely they should be fulfilling the POs first.

Will do what you have suggested and see what they say.

It’s Amazon EU stock not UK, so essentially it’s an import so not covered by your pre-order.

Well that’s my MOTU figures ordered…

I fell down the Origins rabbit hole but decided it wasn’t the right path for me (and well didn’t have enough room). But saw a couple of MOTUC figures available for a non silly price, basically my favourite characters from the 200x series which I doubt will ever get rereleased again in toy form.

    pics when they arrive!

But looked at the prices of the other MOTUC figures… ouch to say the least!

So chuffed to see these getting a wider release than the one from *TWO* (!) years ago, a great set that you won’t regret picking up :)

I see a running theme in your faves and he's big and T-rex shaped :lol
I also love how far back you went with your faves :lolol

    Dragon? Dragon?! DRAGON?!?!!?

Though, there is some logic to that to pair him with PotP Optimal Optimus and get everyone scrambling for one on ebay only to release a new Optimalmus :lol

No idea about Lyn but I know from my male gay friends, can confirm He-Man has long been a gay icon. Also worth remembering being a gay icon is not something the creators decide, we do :ev:

Why does no-one want to release a new TM1 Megatron? It's the best form of one of the best Transformers characters... it's what he looked like when he shot Optimus Prime in the face! But nooo, it's either organic Barney or Red Dragon.

I love what TransArts did with Cheetor and Primal. Come on, just give him rotating turbines and a tail that mounts further up the arm and you're good!

My initial PO is with Amazon EU Sarl. The same link shows the seller as Amazon EU. I didn’t twig that they are different entities when fulfilling orders. Makes sense what you have said. Perhaps they should have separate links to avoid people like me thinking they are handling this wrong.

True, but I'm talking more about the larger (urgh) culture war. And Hollywood may bait them but I don't think it makes a difference. To a lot of them any use of a woman in a new film or TV show is pandering (Ripley and Sarah Conner are okay because they are from old films). Their arguments aren't logical, so you can't beat them with logic.

(It's annoying because it has stifled debate. I have a lot of problems with current Doctor Who but I don't want to get lumped in with the "it's rubbish cos it's woke now!" crowd.)
