Also, maybe I'll stick to this better if I post it here: I'm cutting myself off! Got family birthdays in a few months and other things that need my money and for me to be organised. I just put in an order on Amazon.com for the remaining Cyberverse deluxes I need for the BAF and that will be it for Transformers until at least the end of August. I've gone a bit nuts again in the past few months and I need to slow down. It helps that there aren't many things in the pipe that I don't already have pre-ordered and aren't due for a few months anyway. I need to reign back to being more selective too.
So please nobody tempt me with sales xD
Anxiety fueled bot purchases are a hell of a drug too...
I think I need to just take a step back too and remember that rush rush rush is not necessarily the be all and end all and odds are a given toy will come around again, as has happened in the past.

Well I watched Kingdom and that’s 3 hours I’m not getting back.
It had some good parts, Blackarachnia was a decent character and… I actually can’t think of much else after that.
Oh no wait there were some on screen transformations which was nice…

So yeah that was a massive disappointment.
Prime and Megatron are hardly leaders you can look up too. Obviously Megatron is a tyrant who is supposed to have instilled fear in his allies but Prime just keeps pushing his allies around until Bumblebee finally calls him out over the self sacrificing BS.
Laser beak and Ravage were the same size as Airazor and Cheetor which was simply weird in my mind.
Starscream having a cloaking device was like wtaf.
The voice acting was all over the place and the volume of different cast members was shocking.
The ending was done so much better in Cyberverse with the neutral border.
The whole section where Mirage and Rattrap break out Airazor was actually quite good.

Overall MOTU: Revelations was a lot more engaging and actually left me wanting more by the end of episode 6.

After reading the fallout from MOTU Revelations, I'm sick to death of hearing about what went wrong with em.

Re: Kingdom - yes, the voice acting was shoddy in places but the story was a good mix of universes and felt it was done with a mix of what we are used to along with something a little bit different.

 

If I wish @doucoo happy birthday now, does that mean he will see it in a month's time?  



For those who managed to get hold of the Phantom Strike pack, this axe is a perfect colour match for the Mad Tyrant.

 

G2 Sideswipe and Slamdance is tempting but given Slamdance apparently breaks if you look at it funny £35 is probably a bit too much just for Sideswipe in a month where Star Saber is likely to launch and, if we're very lucky, the Worlds Collide 4-pack might show up in the UK.

...he does look good though.

 

I'm Kingdone! I quite enjoyed it but get what everyone is saying about the pace of primes delivery. It is doing it's job of making me want to go look at some of the beast figures, notably dinobot and BA, when I wasn't much interested before.

I thought the fights were pretty good in general with a similar feeling to some of the beast wars action. I really like seeing Dinobot square off against soundwave, the cassettes, and Megatron. Would have been nice for those fights to have lasted longer, I'd have thought laserbeak would have protected soundwave when he was stabbed in the chest.

The script also had some nice nods back to beast wars, with Megatron saying yes quite a bit, even if if felt more of a natural part of his sentences.

As for the statues at the end, I think they were designed to represent the common soldier, especially given the number of reflectors that were sacrificed to power the nemesis - Megatron's matrix dreams were full of dead/zombie ones.

Because of Unicron's last lines about using the dead universe to travel back in time, my head canon has this series taking place, Unicron traveling back through time and kicking off the og series and 86 movie.

 

My G2 set is from there, no problems with Slamdance whatsoever (feet wasn't it?). These are the second run, likely.
