i think that regardless of how you spin it, US fans are always going to be paying slightly less than us, even if its only £1-2.

Well, I’ve stupidly preordered the Bumblebee ‘Worlds Collide’ four pack, almost £100 for Fangry alone is crazy even for me though! With that in mind I’ll be offloading Nemesis Primal, toy Blackarachnia (and Bumblebee, if for some insane reason someone actually wants him!)

I think it’ll be a nightmare picking up that set, so if anyone wants any of the other 3 figures please let me know?

Looking around the regular Blackarachnia is around £18 & regular Primal at £25, so I’m thinking £25 for toy Blackarachnia & £33 for Nemesis Primal is about fair?

This was a fun, interesting read from the NYTimes as well about how things like the Mattycollector Snake Mountain & HasLab Sentinel come together, with a focus on where the toy market is these days:

I have the red version that came in a box set with two of the smaller aliens, a astronaut and a face hugger. Cheap as chips in Smyths and good fun.

A hangover well earned! Hoping to sneak off to see a few mates this weekend myself.

    One would hope, among others.

    Probably, yes?

Agreed. My siblings all used to go nuts for it as kids, and I'd have rather not.

Years ago, a mate of mine was staying at my gaff after a concert. We got seperated, he went to KFC, ordered a bargain bucket (which at the time came with a Vienetta), I arrived home some time later to find the fool lying on the doorstep, asleep surrounded by chicken bones and a half eaten Vienetta that the greedy bastard had fallen asleep eating like a fucking chocolate bar.

    Never gets old.

I had Overload as a young 'un and loved him to bits. Could never find Erector at a price I was happy paying.

Businesses still have to pay customs dude. And shipping.

£400 is certainly an ouchie, but the direct dollar to pound exchange is pretty much the normal state of affairs these days.

I want to see what the stretch goals are before I commit, but I am tempted. I wasn't in a position to back the Sentinel last time round and that is a fantastic (oops) figure which I do wish I'd signed up for. No purchase limit for backers means the Sentinel is likely going to be widely available from specialist stores, but expensive when it does finally show up.

Many thanks, ordered it! I normally buy in twos but I'm gonna be selling half that set as it is while paying over the odds!
    ...

I know it's normally convention time but Christ it's harder to keep up with it all this year!

Who started a rumour at Hasbro that we’re made of fucking money??

Fucking £400 for Galactus, £100 for World’s Collide and then probably another £250 for Star Saber and Victory Leo, all before the end of August????

Is it any wonder I’m thinking about just packing it all in?

Whichever option was cheapest :lol  (I ‘think’ it was Air Mail Small Packet?)

Oh one thing Robot Kingdom has been great for, is if you ask they’ll mark down the value of your items so you don’t get stung with customs! No idea how it works post-Brexit what the rules are, but they’ve been great in making sure I never pay customs fees with them.

Hasbro pricing person probably: "so we keep making things more and more expensive and they keep buying them. Every time I'm convinced we've gone to far, that we've made things too expensive, a slew of pre-orders come in, I don't even know what the upper limit is anymore. And then there's the third party guys, selling for way more than us and making mint! Off of our IP! If we don't sell the expensive stuff 3P will, so let's keep going, upping the price, I want to sell an autobot city the size of a house".

Quick maths question, is Galactus 20 times the size and weight of a standard ML figure?

If not it is just a complete rip off...Unicron I understand as it has a fuckton of engineering to work out for transformation but Galactus just looks like an upscaled ML figure...or is there alot more to it?

Chose the EMS route like @Napalm pointed out, probably could’ve gotten away with the cheaper option but I always err on the side of caution :lol

Galactus looks amazing and I'm assuming they'll add some extras once certain goals are reached but if I'm being honest with myself I don't have the long term love for the character or Marvel as a whole to justify it.

Very cool that it's being made though particularly with another F4 wave on the way!

Got a shipping e-mail from C&C for Lady Deathstrike and Red Skull so they'll probably be here on Monday! :)
