    A bit of a miss for me and I enjoyed the first 3. Might need to give it a rewatch but overall I didn't enjoy it. It's the same probelm as Justice League, trying to cram too much story into 1 film.

    I mainly found the human side of things entirely predictable and completely stupid at the same time. The trio of characters (the 2 teenagers and the podcaster) that are used to explain the mecha side of the story is just absolutle garbage that really adds little to the film other then a name actress.
    The mecha should have been a solely human endeavour that gets owned early on leading to the Kong/Zilla fight. Giving it the main event act that it deserves and it just needs to set up another film confrontation between Kong/Zilla which can then introduce mecha Ghidorah (2nd human creation this time using the skull). The mecha side of things really just needs to be as simple as humanity trying to defend itself from all the desturction and suffering (which is absent from this film) caused by the alphas.

    Am I expecting too much of Hollywood? I just want them to take their time to tell a story and not rely on tropes all the time. I mean theres been 3 films already, surely they would be onboard for 1 more?

    but that was the motivationfor the mecha. To defendhumanity. Honestly i didn't see anything villainous about the villain. He didn't do anything bad, and disagree with maddison calling him out. I'mglad it wasn't spead out over another film, sequel baiting it like that would have just been annoying. I agree that that part of the story was rubbish but in these kinds of films, i don't care for the human drama. I just want the humans to do enough to make the plot make sense, get us to the next set piece and then take a back seat while the monsters fight. Which this film did. Certainly valid criticism though about the film lacking depth to the plot and characters.

    @Siege Fan,
    Thanks for the links, I'll definitely get some of those effects eventually but with an imminent customs charge plus some GI Joe Classified invoices also looking like they'll drop shortly it probably won't be this month!

    If the new Netflix show has even a piece of that atmosphere, things shall be well.

    Me too. So need to find a decently priced one. Was hoping for a reissue

    Hell yeah, why else would I buy an absolutely amazing figure, it was all about you. And building things, my wife doesn't let me do diy anymore! Costs more to repair the damage I do!

    ...I misread that as a previously unknown Chinese KO maker 'Wel Jel' :lol

    I think we are perhaps, as my Mum would put it, talking at cross purposes here. :lol  I'm not debating the viability of making Alpha Trion or Devcon from SS'86 Scourge. I don't own the figure and I'm trying to determine from those who do own the figure where the wings actually go in alt mode, and if they could be removed without causing much issue for the alt mode for a hypothetical Nautica retool :)  Sorry for any confusion.

    Oh wow :eek:

    Bot news: I've only just now discovered that Airazor's beak is articulated. That's quite the small detail for a deluxe figure!

    Vaccine news: Well as expected, I'm getting the usual post vaccine sort of symptoms and much the same as when I had my first dose. My arm really hurts especially if I move it wrong or use it to move anything with any weight to it, I've got a tight chest and generally feeling under the weather... but still preferable to the real thing of course.
