I know it’s alternate universe and all but isn’t it weird to have Steve Rogers in an all villains wave when neither Red Skull or Baron Strucker have had comic figures recently. Still hopefully it will be a classic ish Hydra leader body with Steve and Red Skull heads.

To be specific a 1 x 2 red tile, that I have a ready supply of from sprucing up inside 'Plex, slides perfectly into ideal supergluing position!

I considered giving Hosier here metallic red hubcaps but on a G1 deco check the original's were all black too so, after swapping his alien mitts over (they're still odd and double-thumbed but the right way 'round the thumb tops sit inhumanly low, this way up they look more like armoured oven mitts to me - ideal for a Firemech!), I decided to keep it simples and just accent with a few G1 detail homages, bit of (metal) black on the lower legs, metallic red (with some clear red topcoat to match his slathered noggin) y-fronts with a couple of little silver sticker nods, and some metallic (+ clear) red, aluminium, and metallic blue at his biceps to homage some G1 sticker details.

And that might be it!
Unless I decide to take on some of his white stripe wear.
I think less is indeed more, at least for this lad who's deco was pretty minimal first time 'round!

Definitely see-sawing on picking up Spurt Reynolds/Repro Man's repro of his G1 gun?
The thing is the stock Mech Tech gun is pretty okay as a top mounted water cannon, and it's impressed me by being one of the better flicking-out extenders - it even pops out to full length by lever pull alone, a rarity for Mech Techs of that kinda mechanism in my experience.
Only shame is that the Deluxe Class gats don't get a locking mechanism to stay in super mode.

 

Impressively so, yes. I'd imagine with more frames it'd be even better. When Neowise was passing, byt the time I got a few clear nights, it was really fading away, and trying without the dark frames was a lot worse than with.

2. Good plan! I sent Kapow a ContactForm about the Micromaster sets and got a non-Andy/Charlotte reply on the 8th Dec saying "We do not yet have an exact date for this item's arrival." So I thought they must not have come out yet after all, though I'd had an idea that wasn't the case!  

Hmmm. Not sure what to do now, don't really need dosh to be tied up waiting for something that's already been and gone and left no trace on my shelf.....

I was invoiced for the two MM sets on the 28th September and paid the same day; no MMs of any sort (other than the gentleman from The Boys) have been forthcoming. I have that feeling one gets, not so sure they will be...   

A Colder War remains my favourite Stross story. Started Glasshouse yesterday, behind on Laundry. Used to chat to him every now and then but haven't seen him since Eastercon. He's done some good stuff...

The bigger feet help stability but his hip ratchets are super loose (at least my one is) so he has floppy legs.
He's currently my only Decepticon combiner, I really need to source a Menasor and Bruticus.

 

When Glaug/G-Works is taking orders again, I highly recommend you grab his improved hip ratchets. They work a treat.

Painted the visor (badly, but it'll do for now). Robot modes are fairly soulless. Jets are awesome. Superion is fucking money. He'll make a great accompanying piece to Predaking.

 

 
Ooh that's the JJ upscaled Combiner Wars Superion is it not? I love me some combiner wars!  
I saw a seller on Ali offering the full set unboxed and shipped for £90 recently but that would throw out all my other Hasbro combiner wars gestalts and I can't afford to start again.
