Good points all round! I'm clearly also still living in 2010 (or before 2008) so I can't begrudge BBTS living in 2009...

FUUUUUUUUUUU iGear have only posted my Hench/Cosmos today! Ah well, I did only order it 3 weeks ago and they are a small operation so it's to be expected. At least they seem to be processing orders in the order received unlike Fansproject.

Nah only joking congrats man, moving to the US is a feat and a half. What you going to do for money over there? Can you get a green card?

TRU shipping internationally? WTF? I'm guessing this has something to do with the poor financial state they are in, but it bamboozles me why more US companies don't do it. For instance I'll find an item on Amazon.com, which isn't on Amazon.co.uk yet they refuse to ship it over here. Conspiracy I say.

I haven't noticed any hostility really.

Must resist the urge to order Hench, my bank balance can't handle the strain this month (car tax, new tyres and MOT are iminent). I'm hoping that somewhere will still have them instock in a couple of months.

On a Uk release of MP10, maybe just maybe their allocation went to the US instead. There is some evidence to suggest that's what happened with the second shipmen of RID.

But it's still seriously doubtful they're going to launch a toy like in Jan-Feb. Most UK toy stores don't go near any real restock til March, even then it's smaller toys, and that's in a more optimistic economic climate.

I'm pretty sure we can put a big red x through this one.

My tracking link from iGear still doesn't work. I am aware they are still posting the little dudes though and they expect to be done come the end of the month. Knowing my luck, that'll be mine!

That MP10 news is.. ludicrous? Yeah, unless there is some sort of unbelievable January sale coming in and it lands for that.. wouldn't that be lovely?

It's kind of like being strapped to a chair and being forced to listen to the same joke. Over and over again. For ten years plus.

It's been a thoroughly dismal year for TFs in the UK. Possibly the worst since before Armada?

Was that the year where the only Transformers you could get were Beast Wars from All That Jazz in Stockton Heath near my house? That was an ace year. I got TM2 Blackarachnia for £3.50. Twice!

TRU UK, doing its damnedest best to shoot itself in the foot it seems.

    BUT

    BUT

What if it is a misguided attempt by the TRU management to be nice to collectors and get the toys in at a time when casual fans/parents will have spent all of their money, thus freeing more up for us???

Congrats mate! You're in for a hell of an adventure, make the most of it :)

My memory may be shaky.......but i seem to remember the first wave of Beast Machines arriving with a muffled pop, and little else until the Original RID came along around Summer 2002. That in turn was also rather muted, aside from the arrival of combiners, and the three Autobot cars, which had grey market importer stickers on them.

That's the period i was referring to in the previous post. Or at least that's how i remember it.
