I think I can help you out, mine will likely end up in the bin otherwise, I’ll remember for when the micros and Primus &Slitherfang arrive

I actually use one of these when doing custom transformers, it is really helpful for keeping left arms and screws and pins all together so they can be sorted, masking tape labels above each section and reassembly becomes much easier

I think that one won't go as well as I'd like with my other bots. But you have reminded me, Siege Shockwave without God mode is a small voyager right?

A fantastic leader class figure. Mostly excellent QC, the legs were quite easy to figure out. sadly the right shoulder, on the right in this pic, has a misaligned pin on the insignia flap that makes it not fold down all the way and sit askew when showing the Decepticon symbol. But eh, he’s great besides that.

The support arms for the ICBM launcher are just loose enough that when you plug something heavy onto them the swing with gravity, making convincing slings for his big gun when not in use.

    Yup. Great figure whatever.

    Could totally see that.

He's not to be encouraged! Lol

Yeah, DD has plenty of right shoulder problems across reviews, the grey plastic on mine is warped.

My Doubledealer has the same pin issue but it’s on the left shoulder instead of the right. I didn’t notice until I was helping my brother transform the legs on his copy and had them side by side. Bit of a nuisance but he does so much right already I didn’t feel like it was that much of a bother all in all. :)  He’s actually the leader class highlight for this trilogy so far. I just can’t connect with Earthrise Prime as much as I want to, just don’t find the play value unlike Doubledealer or even Astrotrain. I definitely think I prefer the “proper scaled” figures but with extra accessories rather than just a giant figure that doesn’t do much. The weapons don’t all have to go with that bot or con either and can pass them around to the figures lacking or in need of better weapons really. Siege Astrotrain had his two machine guns requisitioned by Barricade and my original character Doomshot using TR Megatron. Lovely stuff.

Unreasonable expectations for Kingdom vol. 4:

Voyager Optimus Primal is somehow engineered to take the place of PotP Primal's inner robot.

On a related note, does anyone know where to get a PotP Primal for not-stupid money?

    Wow, that's amazing.

I briefly thought about some restoration work myself but never got very far in those thoughts - but one of my ideas was using paracord for the ropes. They wouldn't have the same elasticity as the stock ropes but they would look decent and be pretty cheap

Automatic Centre Punch does the job, but be careful you don't get your finger caught. Also make sure you get one that is not fat enough at the end that it will start widening the plastic around it when you use it (speaking from experience).

Can also use a small hammer and pin for a slower but more controlled method.

To put back in, gentle tapping with a small hammer. Or push it in as far as you can and use the centre punch to push it the rest of the way, with the figure braced on a solid surface and some protection like a mat or tray or something so you don't put dents in the table.

Some pins are more awkward to remove than others. And always attack it with the knobbled part of the pin coming out first.

'automatic centre punch'...? any you recommend that won't do the widening thing? or is it dependent on the toy?

This is what I use, though I think I have a bit of a fat end on mine.
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-13612-Automatic-Centre-Punch/dp/B0001K9PB4/ref=sr_1_10?crid=2NYHQNO8OYJ2G&dchild=1&keywords=automatic+centre+punch&qid=1596624501&sprefix=automatic+centre,aps,148&sr=8-10

It depends on the toy. It should be fine for most pins, but the smaller pins can sometimes get a little caught. Because of the force of it hitting down, it can cause a little impact to the plastic, creating a slight cone indent widening type effect. It's not going to affect the grip of the pin itself but it's something to be wary of. You could always see if you can find a smaller or narrower centre punch if it's a small pin, but it would have less force and will be a little harder to get the pin out. But I've found that works fine for most pins.

The DNA kit for SS ironhide came with a manual centre punch. The thing between his feet.

something small like that for smaller pins is good, but you have to tap it with a small hammer or something like that to push the pin out.

Which figure are you wanting to knock pins out of?

    Good afternoon (just) All.

IDT have confirmed my order for Rung/Slitherfang has shipped today.

Hopefully others will be receiving this order very soon.

Just trying to find the motivation to do my day job when the weather is so nice and coupled with some neighbours drilling, I have no concentration for work with the noise they are making.

An early G&T or Pimms beckons.
