I’ve quoted myself to answer your post that I’ve quoted...
They are a great set of figures and the combined mode works so very very well. If you can get them for a decent price do it
Happy Birthday @Brum Bot glad you had a good one!
How much is he charging? Just for some more info to help you decide, I’ve seen some of the limbs go for £13, excluding Rippersnapper. Hun-Gurr isn’t available anywhere.
God, I never thought of using Ironwork’s hook as a hook!
Isn’t it also the case that if high street shops are empty they are exempt from rates etc... or something like that. Means there is no incentive to actually have shops occupied really and to keep rents higher...
Thanks folks! Under a tenner for each at the moment, that’ll probably change before Saturday but I’m not going much over retail for them.
Thank you - and well spotted!
These are actually mine from childhood, but in one of the other boxes there is a Hogan, Warrior and Jake the Snake. I’m not going down another rabbit hole, but I absolutely enjoy picking old favourites up when I see them and the price is right. Would love to get hold of an old ring (I used to have one as a kid but long gone) but getting one at a reasonable price isn’t easy.
Thank you both, much appreciated. Walking the dog, curry ordered, and a cold beverage when I get in. Spent the day with my family, it’s been a great birthday.
edit - thanks @MissingSea ! Busy birthday week in the thread, @doucoo is up on Wednesday!!
Oh then go right, ahead, absolute steal!
As much as I didn't like the ER Seeker mold when I first saw it... it's grown on me pretty damn fast. I don't regret having the Siege Seekers though, since I can now have some great 'Before & After' photos.
Happy fucking birthday @Brum Bot. Keep it sexy.
And thank you everyone for the birthday wishes yesterday.
VERY well said!
Whilst I'm not buying into the main line beyond the odd figure I look at the latest Seekers and think they're a wonderful evolution from the Classic mould and can see them being much more enjoyable than Takara's 3rd take on MP scale versions of the characters on a variety of levels....rediscovering the fun factor of reposing and transforming figures over treating them like statues and being snobby about it was one of the best things I've done in the past few years as towards the end of my MP only run collecting was a long way from being enjoyable.
I had Bret, one of the Ultimate Warriors and the British Bulldog as a kid. A friend and his brother had the ring and enough others to make battle royals fun!
What those figures lacked in accuracy and articulation by today's standards was more than made up for in their personality as they reflected the larger than life characters of the time. I have a handful of Mattel era figures of a few Legends but they've always been a few notches down my collecting priority list.....I only bought the Hurricane recently because I loved the gimmick so much and the Honky Tonk Man because it was £9 shipped.
Prior to that the last wrestling figure I bought was about 3 years ago when I bought a William Regal figure which I got signed at a London Film & Comic Con.....he's got beautiful handwriting! I also had a bit of a chat about his use of English slang terms and he said he knew it would get more heat from the American crowds because they wouldn't understand what things like "pillock" or "toerag" meant
When they get around to a proper Battlestar Galactica Crossover full-Viper remould, even I'll bite!
Glad I hung fire for now though.
Not Transformers Corner: Trashcan.
Second generation of product from Toynotch, the somehow MMC affiliated outfit that gave us Evil Monkey Overlord AKA Apollo of the glowy eyes.
It's a mixture of SW Battle Droid, ABC Warrior and Chappie. It's very nice, although overpriced for what it is. Which is ok as Kapow have sold out and I won't have to worry about recommending something that's not great value to the thread.
It's not bad at all.
I would fecking skin raccoons on the hour every hour for a year to get a Line of actual ABC Warriors. And a Heavy Metal Kid.
That big blue guy looks neat
The landlords don't pay the rates, the tenants / shop owners do, so empty shops are lost revenue for landlords and for local councils. No-one wins.
Reducing rates for small businesses over the last decade or so has been a fantastic boost for small business owners.
As others have said go for it! My favourite of all the CW style combiners, even surpasses Defensor, my favourite combiner character of all time
Thank you legend
If you haven’t already I massively recommend you give his autobiography a read - it is tremendous.
I've always meant to give it a go but never got round to it....maybe now's a good time as distractions from the news are even more welcome than usual
I've seen a few interviews with him on YouTube and have always liked how unaffected by the fame he seems to be as a lot of wrestlers seem to lose the ability to switch off the gimmick when the spotlight fades and that's when things usually go pear shaped. One of my favourite Regal stories is how he introduced Steve Austin to the work of Tommy Cooper. The most "Texas" man on the planet liking British humour, just shows what really unites different cultures
Go for it. Great set of figures, fun and poseable and they look cool and full of personality in all modes.
Happy Birthday... Also the new house we're buying soon has a spare room that's EXACTLY the same size as that room... And now you've shown me just what I need to make it perfect. I guess a trip to Ikea will be on the cards!
New G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout Video Game For PS4, Switch And XBox Revealed
Assuming the recent aesthetic choices weren't just for this video game, I'd imagine this is what a potential cartoon will look like.
