Yes, and see him be released with the remaining Autobot Targetmaster partners.
We would definitely benefit from having a really good Robin Hood movie though. I mean I'll have a good time snarking along with Prince of Thieves but you really have to go back to Erroll Flynn for anything genuinely earnest and good.
But a good Robin Hood film ought to be an entirely British production. Americans get all caught up with the romantic rebellion against tyranny aspect, overplay it and end up with something well-worn and predictable.
Also Americans can't even say the name Robin Hood properly.
Fudge walking, it's raining. Again.
So this Guy. He's just a recolour of something I bought already and left back in the box but.....in a vintage year for Primes he has a certain timeliness that fits the "Clean Sweep of G1 Space Dads" quite nicely.
Crazy poseable (which is good) scary tight ratchets and some creaky plastic (which is not good) but a headsculpt that absolutely kills.
Well most of my FT combiner bots have arrived as well as my MMC combiner figures...
Why is it I just know I am going to open the MMC Assaultus figures and think they are neat but a little big... then to open FT's and find they are far too big leading to more sales... *sigh*
Just in case I’m mispronouncing it, what’s the proper pronunciation?
I live about 5 miles from Sherwood Forest, if local dialect is anything to go by it’s probably something like Robin Ud (Hood but omitting the H)
If they do remake Robin Hood they could do it with actual people and the same story which would be satisfying, maybe include Some of the Merry Men who were omitted such as Will Scarlet.
They really ought to keep Alan-a-Dale as a storyteller though
Thanks, I was pronouncing it with an ‘H’.
Americans tend to say it all in one go like “ROBINhood”. Rather than the English way which is to treat Hood like a surname and give it equal stress in pronunciation.
Of course the correct correct pronunciation is “ROOOOOOOO-BIIIIIIN! THE HOODED MAAAAAAAAN!”
I still love the 80's series.
not with Jason connery though
@Loosecannon I might be interested in the ft bots if you are selling. depending on which ones
Got my son an OS legends screamer and noticed they've changed the paint since I got one a couple of years back
Michael Praed? Think his name was that. I use to watch that RH back then.
Well, I was assuming it's the Sexy Fox version Robin Hood they're giving the Lion King/Jungle Book "Live Action" treatment? I mean if ever there was a time to tap into the Furries market it's now, innit?
Errol Flynn is probably the last time the costumes were closest to period correct, given that now the media trend is Medieval = Filth!
I'd kill for some proper historical costuming, arms, & armour production with a HEMA-influenced updating of the stage fighting.
Allegedly Marvel Legends Monday, as I'm calling it, will see a deluxe Toxin revealed (I do love those Symbiotes).
I'm hoping it's below the size of the recent Venom but with different head sculpts and hands/tendrils, I'm really not so fussed on 'the red mess' he's often shown as.
that is the one. my boys like watching it.
will scarlett is brilliant (ray winstone)
After a week off, I've just uploaded a new review: War for Cybertron Hotlink
I was very resistent to picking up any version of this mould. How wrong I was!
anyone selling ft or x transbot limbs?
ft terminus or Toyworld constructor?
having a buying itch I need to scratch.
I just hope George is kept away, bringing back the old man originator hasn't worked for Terminator, Alien, Indiana Jones... They're always more interested in what they can do with technology than story. Seems to be the, 'I'm old but I've still got it!' mentality.
I love Siege Shockwave. I think he's possibly one of the best 'complete package' Siege Leaders IMO. Like sure his 'armour' mode is a bit hit and miss compared to the bulky armour suits of UM and Galaxy Upgrade Prime, but I'd say his mad scientist hover platform suits the character better, I adore his spaceship mode both with and without the armour pieces upgrading it and he has something the other two Siege Leaders are missing - not counting Astrotrain here as he was an ER Leader brought forward - Shockwave's armour parts have a coherent use when not attached in either mode as a drone minion for mad scientist Shockwave. He really is the whole package.
I ended up liking Astrotrain a lot more than I expected. Now don't get me wrong, I only buy figs that interest me and he looked pretty cool but I find myself keep fiddling with him, I like how his weapons are neat on their own but can also be combined into a giant kill gun of doom. My only real issue is there's not a great way to attach the tender in shuttle mode or robot mode other than the platform boots in robot mode, though it does make a neat launch platform. That said the way it becomes a tender in train mode rocks
Ooh who's the Optimus on the right? He looks neat.
Oh and btw @Siege Fan, she arrived today. Thanks!
Glad she arrived safely!
Thanks for the recommendation, whilst I think Dark Side Of The Ring is very well done and I'm looking forward to the 3rd series, something a bit lighter isn't a bad idea to balance things out a bit.
I am wondering where they'll go for the 3rd series though, they're lucky that the wrestling business is littered with potential subjects to focus on but narrowing it down to where they're suitably unique stories is tricky.
Maybe they could add a bit more humour eg,
"The Many Lies Of Hulk Hogan"
( Metallica's alleged original choice for their bass player, denials of never taking more than vitamins and turning down the grill deal that paved the way for George Foreman are amongst the topics that could be covered )
