I’ve worked out why my Earthrise Prime has a wonky chest. The hinge that the truck mode grill uses to fold away has a pin inserted slightly off centre.

I saw one in Forbidden Planet today and grabbed him. Unfortunately his neck joint is stuck you he can't look up or down. Sigh.

 

I got him from there via online preorder but he never hit shelves. Earthrise one is up for preorder on the site though

 

I think mine may also bit that tiny bit off on the pinning too but a bit of nail polish on the left chest tab seems to be helping it hold together a smidge better.

Fortunately the boob shadow camouflages the remaining slight camber!

Also finally got fed up enough of silver-transferral the other day to take a crack at clear coating his corrected front/butt rims...

...and that just might be my smoothest clearcoat yet? *PHEW!*

 

Sonic the movie might not be the best film ever, but it's one of better ones I've seen in months.

Genuinely funny when even suffering from the usual dip in the middle, the CGI is great for once, and it's great to see Carey back on form.

Stay for the mid-credits sequence!

 

I’d love to see Shadow in a sequel. Maybe Dr Robotnik will create him to get revenge on Sonic and he’s originally the antagonist then becomes the anti-hero towards the end.

Carey was absolutely fantastic, IMO it’s one of his best performances.

 

I saw it in 4D best decision ever the moving chairs etc made the sense of speed all the more real.

 

Does anyone know how to fix the wonky launch platform on Siege Astrotrain by the way? I can’t figure out what’s preventing it sitting flat.

Apparently the Earthrise repack fixed this?

 

Without snapping it I dont think you can. Not sure about the Earthrise one. If it sorted I will be peeved I didnt wait.

 

Nope, mine is ER and suffers from it.

At first glance it seemed the 'shoes' on the bottom have joining tips that cause it, but I had to return mine for other reasons so I can't check!

 

Even with them removed its not flat as the bit that holds the 'shoes' goes under the tender too far so just wont sit right as it catches the underside of it.
