Yeaahhh, building a bridge over a portion of seabed lined with a million tonnes of explosives seems a crazy.

But a bridge to scotland would be pretty cool. Even if it would be closed every other day for high winds/ bomb threats from the friendly local paramiliataries.

Ah now Chris, you'll have to build the bridge out of sturdier materials than battlemaster ramps. At least G1 fort max ramps.

I'll have a word with the lads. Pretty sure we can sort this out.

hmm, probably not very. His bum flap is actually the the central solid blue section of the hinge bump in the middle of the ramp. So, while someone suitably proficient could knock the pin out, separate them and then put yer ramp back together, you'd have a a big hole in the ramp, which may affect the structural integrity of it. That's a buzzkill for me, but your own mileage may vary. I also think there's a lot to be said for Soundbarrier bolstering the ramp as far as weight handling goes.

Of course, if you couldnae give a fuck about the ramp and just want a wee soundbarrier to whizz about the place then do bear in mind he's going to have a significant fanny pack, as our American friends might say.

    Pics or it didn't happen.

    Hope that's helpful, la!

    At some point, most definitely.

I don't need it to work, Brian, I just have to swing the contract with a fancy maquette and some technobabble - I mean they hired a ferry company with no ferries so I reckon my scam, er... project is well in with a chance, don't give my game away, old son, I'll make it worth your while!
If all goes to plan for my plan that can never come to plan, I'll never have to work another day in my life! ;)
Ta, muchly, Mister B, that is most helpful indeed!
The knurl is easily spottable for pin-pushing, or a brave (and/or quite possibly mad) soul might just brute force slice off his butthinge for integrity/avoiding the faff of making a replacement central section with styrene tubing and/or the potential brittleness usual in transparent plastics.
Might wait and see if we get a clear green ramp buddy before going to the experimental stage!

Well, I thought Siege Prime was cream of the crop. I might have to rethink that now...

    20200210_115615.jpg

Earthrise Prime is so damn good, guys. Like, holy shit this is a golden age for Trukk-bot.

His vehicle mode is almost flawless. It's exactly what I want from a modern style Earth-mode Optimus.

And he comes with his trailer, which is just the cherry on top. I mean, I'd have been okay with him just being sold on his own at a Voyager price point, but if I have to be flogged more plastic, at least it's something he's actually seen using in canon sources, and is a major part of his silhouette over the past 30+ years.

You can even use it with other figures! So it already has slightly more value!

Cheers Kev. I’ll most likely get the ten quid one to kick things off then upgrade as needed.

Ordered one of the modular Fext sci-fi displays from Oh My Primus last night, for starters -

    - again, I’ll expand as and if needed - and I need to get a wee display turntable too. Stupidly I spent all my amp money straight away and didn’t leave enough for little extras. As well as the background there I ordered a couple more Hexa Gear kits from Hobby Frontline whilst they’re going cheaper than usual.

Agnirage, which is currently the largest HG kit - usually £150-£190, got it for £100...

    And Lord Impulse.

I’ll be doing videos for them but they’ll both be getting customised once I have some more money to buy the extra parts I’ll need, so I can get at least two videos out of each kit. First video will definitely be ‘How to make your own custom MTMTE Fulcrum’ though, likely followed by either a ‘this week’s comics’ post or a ‘what do you mean you’ve never read it?’ Type post about the old DC series Haywire.

Has anybody had dispatch notices for SS Mixmaster from Kapow? Dunno if they haven't got them yet, are working through a backlog, or have overlooked my preorder again.

@Ottertron A cheap plastic or MDF CD spinner base makes for a serviceable toy spinner if you don't mind doing it by hand!

SNOW! We got snow in Nottingham! It's already built up a quarter of the window. Gonna be fun getting home, since a section of the ring road is closed due to structural defects found in a bridge. Coupled with the snow.... yeah, fun times ahead!

    Oh....

this is because I have NBE-1 waiting to defrost, isn't it.

I received my shipping notice from Kapow on Friday for Mixmaster and Scavenger. Apparently it's with my neighbour today and I'm stuck in London until the end of the week (definitely a first world problem)

I'd suggest ping Kapow a query, I expect they have a huge backlog on these badboys

He's so good! Only drawback is the slight hollowness on the back of his truck cab, but that's a minor quibble I can certainly live with.

@barry How is Soundbarrier as a figure? I'm considering taking a punt on IDToys, but not sure if I want to bother with the extra Smashdown if he's not worth it.

    First thoughts: Wow.

    IMG_20200210_153554.jpg

He's every bit as good as I'd hoped.......and I hoped for a lot.

Yes, it was a bit cheeky of them to bring this out a year after what was objectively the best mainline Prime they had managed up to now, and yes the Leader price point is further cheek. But right now I don't care. This thing is pure TF love. It's literally what I've been in this game for for 35odd years (very odd at times) and I'm pretty sure Hastak had to finally heave a sigh and admit "Ok, we've strung them out for so long.......I think they want us to really deliver now," and lo and behold, they did.

Negatives? Eyes are a bit "dead" due to the colour combo they've gone for on the Head. Trailer is a bit pants/bare bones compared to others we've seen in the past. The Muffin-Wheels on the back/midriff .............er. that's it. Literally it.

They can milk this Bastard for every colour-scheme in the book and I'll be helpless against it's pulling power.

Bring on the Yellow Eyes, The Cartoon Paint Job, The Nemesis, The Ultra Magnus Nude, the Delta, The Convention Gouge-aways...........I'm all yours.
