Tesco have BOGOF Pops, £10. Xmas candy cane and clown Deadpool, recent movie Mary Poppins, Rick and Morty, gold chromed Hulk, Nightmare Before Christmas, Spiderverse Gwen...

Also selling off last year's Lego, got 42088 (Technic cherry picker) for £4.50, and I spotted that Mini Cooper set down to £30. The Bat-Mech was 17.50 from memory.

EDIT - I'd no idea Max Headroom made it to the States or was this big

Ok so it's not transformers but I spent a few evenings sorting through c30 year old boxes of my lego to build some of my old sets up.

The pirate and imperial sets were my favourite as a kid and amazingly everything was still there amongst a few thousand other pieces to build these 4.

@Napalm, I was saddened to hear the news about your Mum, you expressed your feelings with a lot of courage and dignity, it was evident you posess fortitude and a full heart to take into any days you may need kindness and resolve. I hope medicine can catch up and alleviate the ills that the condition impacts on the loved ones who are with the family member in good and bad days.

The first year or two of Pirate Lego are up there with Futuron / Blacktron / M:Tron / Space Police / Ice Planet era space sets. I'm not sure if it was peak Lego design and ingenuity, or just I was the right age for them to grab hold of me, but this was such a golden era for Lego.

    Watched Despecialised ROTJ this evening,

No song & dance bullshit in Jabba's Palace, no Hayden Christensen as Anakin's ghost, no Vader shouting "Noooo!" seconds before turning on Palpatine and best of all, the Yub Nub song is back....Result! :)

Yup, and the Robin Hood line! I had the bastion and the big pirate ship alongside a few smaller sets. I've long said they should re-release them, they'd make a clean fortune from the likes of us.

I'd have killed for that as a kid. My favourite was the Robin Hood tree hideouts.

I picked mine up a few months ago via eBay, paid a little over the odds (45ish?) but I’d missed the UK preorder as well and it didn’t look like it’d be easy to find.

to me, Ice Planet 2002 is the pinnacle of Lego Space. Neon orange chainsaws and skis really did it for me as a kid. Plus the printing on the minifigures faces was brilliant.

The secret to Lego is that older sets are often cheaper on ebay than they were when they came out adjusting for inflation, and cheaper then if they were reissued. Jump in.

I do love it when 3rd parties rock out their own characters.
I had hoped that we'd have seen a slew of CW compatible limb-bots of new an interesting design.

    But alas.... the wait continues.

*shudder* the wife has subjected me to that far too many times.

    Cosmic Rust alert!!

Thanks for the heads up Big Chris, the effects parts will be stored in a safe location so they don't melt the nips of siege Springer!

Alas, he was a IDT exclusive, and they had very very limited numbers.

    Wouldn't mind one myself.

I'm definitely excited for the secrets & lies series! More Marvel G1 goodness!

What is a community for, if not to commune! Er, I mean communicate! :p
Yeah, I've done the rounds this morning myself removing figures stowed with attached effects as there were some 'out of sight, out of mind' fellas I'd missed in my first removal pass.
Turns out dyed Battlemasters are indeed vulnerable to the effect as Tiptop's Blowpipe effect had a bit of lilac lippy around it's little grippy gob but some of my longest-applied effect parts (approaching ~5 months now) on stock unpainted porous plastic seem A-okay (both a spare Caliburst left in gun mode on a shelf with the part on it, and the Nightstick with a twin-barrel made from 2 Calibursts' that my Cyclonus has), so either it doesn't react the same chemically as painted/polished plastic, or it takes much longer. I have an theory that an anaerobic environment might act as an accelerant for the plasticiser migration, perhaps even something like creating a capillary action that draws out the plasticiser quicker?
I've initiated an experiment with a spare Caliburst and Firedrive to see if I can find out - FOR SCIENCE!!!

The whole thing has done wonders for my patience when it comes to waiting for Rung & Singe availability, green effect parts may be neato but are they really that great if they melt your toys, eh?

I'd just like to respond to your use of the word subjected with this item of razor sharp hard funk riffage. Listen to that bass drop an octave down around the 46 second mark. BRUTAL.

Ah, I thought he'd been in the same scant wave as Thundercracker. Yeah, I wouldn't turn me nose up at a Soundblaster although I didn't have much desire for Soundwave. I think I'll swing by Leicester this afternoon and see if there's anything interesting in Forbidden Planet. Shan't get my hopes up though.
