@Large Thats very good of you to say, thank you!

    Here’s a pic of another shelf. It’s my S1 / 1984 ‘Cons (yes, I know Kremzeek was in S2!).

    image.jpg

One of the things I like about being a CHUG collector is how someone else may have exactly the same shelf, but portrayed completely differently. I’ve gone quite Siege-Heavy - but still have Universe 2008, TR, CW and even United on that shelf. There are so many different ways to represent those characters; none of them being the “right” way.

After all, variety is the spice of life.... :)

Hee hee, every time I see people talking about siege astrotrain here, I get a flashback to ‘THE ASTROTRAIN’ (said internally in a booming voice)

Love those little earth force volumes too.

Grizzby deserves to be in any shelf anyway !

And absolutely, yes ! As long as you love it, you have fun with it, whatever, this is the right one.
The chance to get IDW lookalike toys interacting with more G1ish counterparts ? Blast.

An extra like for this TR Wawave, my buddy of the GDQ marathon weeks and that reminds me the next one is not far away <3

I'd make a exception and buy a giant KO version of Traintrain just for this glorious pleasure:

Well, one of my TF Direct orders this week never made it out of China, it was returned to them and credit where it's due they have shipped another straight out and emailed me to let me know.

Their stock has gone down so presume it was damaged.

During the time that E-Hobby were releasing Diaclone-based G1 reissue exclusives, we knew things were good for us as collectors but I don't think we knew how lucky we were to be getting the likes of Crosscut, Tigertrack etc. Seems unlikely we'd get this sort of thing again.

    Good evening fine folk!

All these pics of Siege Crosshairs is making me well'jel! Has anyone received theirs via Kapow yet? I paid my invoice just over a week ago and not a sniff? :(

Ooh rack'n'Ruin custom ahoy! I guess those are Shapeways bits, which seller did you pick them up from? I too have a different RnR planned ;)

Ooh gonna take a look right now, thank you! I felt sure I'd previous purchased a Novastar but I think I must have been imagining it as she's no where to be seen? And I need a Nautica! Balls! #fembots

I wonder if some Legends scale collectors use small Deluxe and Scout sized figure with in their collections?
    Preach brother!;)
    Quoted for truth!:)

I do. I've got Classics Astrotrain, Siege Brunt, the TR Monsterbots, and TR Broadside with my Legends+ guys. CW combiners work well too.

I keep thinking of Norman Wisdom shouting "Mr Grimsby, Mr Grimsby!" whenever I read Grizzby :lol

Haha that would be formidable. Imagine, something silly I wrote 32 years ago becoming an actual thing shared across the sea ! Love that.
S'been a long time since I played Devastation though.

Ouh, speaking of... Thought about you last night as I played a surprisingly nice racing game: Asphalt 9 Legends. It's a free to play one so it comes with all the loud aspects of them you can suspect, BUT, the twist is, it's a really good one to play ! It's silly-over the top-sometime F-Zeroesque, really well done and fun to play.
Not just in too long cessions though.

I'm hoping for a Skids in Earthrise, might get a repaint into crosscut...long shot

This is awesome. I've been catching up on idw's phase 2. Really like Swerve's character in more than meets the eye. They've done a great job of goving a lot of depth to what i thought were just minor characters

@robotmel Same here, paid for it but no notification for shipping. I had a NECA Gremlins pack alongside it, so I'm wondering if that's held it back?

The Final Fantasy Legend was released 30 years ago on this day.

Not only it's the first RPG on Game Boy, not only it's the first game in the FFL series, but it's also in fact, the very first game in the SaGa series.
It's original name being Makai Toushi Sa·Ga, only renamed and connected to Final Fantasy in the west for commercial purpose (remember it was still a dark age for JRPG import over here).
In fact, it would take until 1998 to see a game named SaGa to be released in North America (Saga Frontier on PS1) and 2000 for Europe (Saga Frontier 2, still on PS1).
Ironically only one game came out after that (Unlimited SaGa on PS2) over a decade... Until SaGa: Scarlet Grace in 2016.
But hey you can now play the beautiful Snes episodes: Romancing Saga 2 and Romancing Saga 3 on switch, PS4, Vita, XBOXone (and the remake of the first Romancing, Minstrel Song, on PS2).
    And you should.

Speaking of JRPG/Import/Snes/Beautiful, Tales of Phantasia is 24 years old today.

Also Heavy Metal War aired 35 years ago today !
Which means that, yeah, fictionnal Devy is 35 years old, as well as the 2 eyes/visor mess, but even more importantly, this guy is 35 years old today.

Shatter eh? I got my hands on a shatter too! But not one that turns into a jet.

    20191214_184719.jpg

Because what happened yesterday is I was fiddling with one of my latest fiddle toys (RID Air Attack Optimus Primal, such a good gimmick laden figure) and routinely changing it to Gorilla mode and the whole lower leg came off in my hand. I dunno if it's GPS... it's such a clean break which GPS doesn't usually do... I dunno. Probably a variant of it? IT is swirly metallic plastic though.

I've since Superglued it back (and it's still transformable) so we'll see if it holds. The weird thing is, one particular brand of superglue did absolutely fuck all and didn't hold the broken parts together. But the different brand glue I bought back from Hong Kong (which I bought to repair the YF-19 head laser/antenna) worked like a charm. I just assumed superglue was like, the same stuff. Evidently not.

    Edit
According to TFwiki it is GPS...

Gold Plastic Syndrome - Transformers Wiki

Suuuuuck. Looking at that list it says BW Optimal Optimus also has GPS? Whoof. I was thinking about buying one of those. Now I think not... my PotP Throne of the Primes will have to do.

Awesome stuff! How come no pics?

A reminder that this is a Legends sized figure, Iron Factory have posted these pics on their weibo.

    img-12e757a9839f6ead91f7d83cc62570e3.jpg

This is getting silly now. The level of poseability here looks insane.

Now, the lion mode does bring things back to reality somewhat.. but check out the Matrix hat!

Good feline form to him despite the compromises.

    ceb62630gy1g9x63h2pf2j20nm0jz0vs.jpg

Can't wait to get this and Bludgeon.

@tikgnat, a like for fixing him. Not for the break. I broke his ass last time I handled him, IIRC.

And the layout/colour palette on that calendar really works. Fantastic stuff.
