Hasbro Transformers G1 Headmaster Fangry with Brisko (1988).

I was very late to the 1988 Headmasters scene, but the Decepticon gang are proving far harder to find than the Autobots, especially in this condition. Fangry's colours are simply incredible.

Fings crossed for a Monsterbot-buck-based retool in WFC Chapter 2!
If they do do it I wonder if they'll use the monster arms for the legs over the shoulders look due to the nature of the transformation.

Guys. I knew that Generations Drift would be a cool toy, but no-one told me it would be this cool. Just transformed it back into car mode, and even that was fun and intuitive.

    Guys.

    Come on now.

Is there any chance it'll still be a Headmaster? Is the upcoming Apeface a Headmaster?

ACK! Good luck hunting, my fine fellow!

    I'm sorry. I suck.

So, I've said it a few times, but one of the things that got me back into collecting TF's was the IDW comics, particularly MTMTE. Inevitably, I really loved every nod the toys gave in that direction, whether it's something as small as Rewind and Chromedome's headsculpts, or incredibly faithful renditions like Skids, Springer and Magnus (or even just getting Nautica at all). My CHUG shelf has always been my IDW shelf, so it really has made collecting the CHUG stuff that more pleasurable for me.

When the IDW continuity wound down around the same time that the new WfC toys were being released, I felt a little sad. Looking at that very non-IDW Magnus it really did seem like the days of the IDW homage were behind. How nice then to see we're getting Rung! I hope we'll get a few more nods as the years roll on.

With regards to Nautica, I think the way that the new comic is sticking to the original Milne design strongly implies there's no new toy on the horizon, which basically gives 3P companies free reign to fill that gap in the market. But then they could have done that for years and they haven't. I want my Nautica! Come on MMC!

Oh, and sorry for stealing your schtick Barry with the Seeker writeups I've done so far. I mean, I say sorry but I'm going to carry on with the others so...

It is! But I doubt Fangry's got enough clout to get a full figure release somehow. The Apeface Titan Master had people whining their faces off about "needing" a full-size version but there was no real outcry when it came to Fangry. But then, I've been proved wrong before.

Catching up on posts in this thread... if you guys could slow down with the chatter and the posting of stuff, it would be great. Thanks.

I find myself looking for a Defensor, as my favourite of the combiners.... And so, I feel like I have two options.

    1. Generation Toy - I love the styling on these guys, and we are three bots in. Their Groove bike is massive. I dont care much for scale, but when the bike of the bunch is huge compared to the helicopter, it jars a bit. Aside from that, they seem to be pretty good, and I am a fan of the Constructicons.

    2. Ocular Max - These seem much more cartoon accurate (going off their Bruticus) which is not my thing at all. I like the toy aesthetics and the stylised bits and the detail. But, these are all-in-one, no combiner bits, and chunky. Nothing more than a lineart sketch right now though, although that would give me time to prepare my finances.

Anyone with either the GenToy Protectobots, or the OcMax Combaticons with an opinion on this?
    Thanks.

Hasbro Transformers G1 Headmaster Horri-bull with Kreb (1988).

What a monster of a figure to get in this condition, and it's not gonna stay like this unless you sand down that bull neck hinge. Almost always broken, even after sanding it stresses. Killer colours again, though.

@Maz - lovely pic of a bot i'm forever on the hunt for - have the other small con Headmasters (My Horribull finally succumbed to the years, so will need a replacement), but Squeezplay is outstanding - still not got any of the autobot small hm's, but they'll happen eventually..
in other news, somehow i'm getting my Switch Lite a day before official release?- suspect Amazon shennaingans, but HUGE if true!

    #slides over#
ah... protectabots - my go-to Combiner team..
very much like the look of the Ocular Max so far - will need to see prototypes first, but it's incredibly promising ( and i adore OM Sphynx)

personally, my fave is MT's Guardia - all the limbs are really well done, and it's got great presence ( without dwarfing small children) - maybe my all-time fave 3p combiner?

Squeezeplay is the one I have been searching for for a few years! I had the chance to buy one sealed for 245 quid but I totally want to avoid opening sealed G1, so I didn't get it. I have not seen one MIB for absolutely AGES. Or shit, even loose mint is scarce as hell.

must've got lucky with mine - grabbed him at my very first AA ( back when it was at the Clarendon Suites!) - spotted him semi-hidden on a display from one of the dealers - 100% complete, decent stickers, nice and tight - think i paid £30 - pretty sure i robbed the guy..

I used to have him, sold him when I was moving out of my parents due to a lack of space in the hovel I was moving to.

    I do miss him. :(

The way I see it - we're getting Powerdashers at the moment. Anything is possible. I'd love a full-size Fangry.

Yikes! Curiosity drove me to check on eBay and well..... SQUEEZEPLAY MISB Mint in Sealed Box 100% AFA ready Transformers G1 | eBay £245 is probably optimistic!
