    Looks like the MakeToys My First Blaster release. Don't think any online shops have it any more as it came out around the same time as Trashtalk, so Facebook groups and eBay, the forum posts here etc might be best bet.

    No idea which single item got the most research time, maybe the Finnish Diaclone 'Black Tracks' or the general topic of Ceji Joustra Diaclone toys and the associated Milton Bradley European Transformers releases?

    All the best

    Possibly this belongs in the 'stop ignoring us' section but something about how John Warden hates Beast Wars? Oh, and definitely arguments about whether something is a retool or 'shared engineering'.

    Good news! My missing Reflectors arrived today. Bad news! Despite a long email conversation with Kapow and and an explicit and direct request for them to be sent to my current address on campus, they got sent to my old department. Again. Thank fuck I still work at the same institution, right?

    I would not describe this as encouraging.

    Cheers chaps - unfortunately despite the meeting ending after just half an hour ("WHAT??? I TOOK A TRAIN AND TWO TUBES FROM SOUTH WALES FOR THIS??") I decided to just rush for the next train home from Paddington. A quick swerve into Smyths Newport revealed absolutely fuck all stock. KFC on the way home helped rectify a shit, pointless morning that started at 5am.

    Denmark Street is legendary - last time I went there I didn't have enough time or money to appreciate it - now I'd be struggling to resist coming home with a new guitar and several pedals.

    I've been to the Forbidden Planet before though, excellent store.

    I've managed to secure a Siege Thundercracker thanks to @Art Vandelay accidentally preordering two, so the hunt begins for a Skywarp. Hoping to take some more pics for the new blog (link in sig) tonight too.

    Also the thing to note about the MFB is that it pretty much only fits the hands of their Swerve, Gears and (I think) Tailgate toys. Regular Hasbro figures have 5mm fist grips and the post on the MFB is considerably smaller. And yet too thick to fit anything that takes 3mm weapons.

    It's also not cheap. But it was a blast to put together, and looks awesome, so there's that.

    Hamleys UK Transformers “Generation 2 Guess Who” competition to win G1 Fortress Maximus from 1993!

    The Max was on display in-store, but by the time the prize was awarded, apparently most of the accessories and parts had been stolen off the display model!

    In a world where there was enough time for multiple hobbies, I would totally be in to making dioramas. My Pinterest is mainly warhammer and gundam scenery porn. For the comics fans amongst us, apparently Seth built/builds the setting for Clyde fans etc in diorama form.

    Oh man, how could I leave that one out!!

    That would be gutting!!

    Okay, so presumably #2 is Optimus Prime despite how close the cab is to the trailer, #3 is Slag, is #1 Dreadwind? I can't think of which G2 figure that could be.

    maybe i'm massively over-thinking things here, but is that first silhouette a bit tricky? can't think of any notable fliers from that period that fit that - it can't be starscream as the wings are all wrong... initial thought is Jetfire, but that's wrong too..

    edit -

    a quick TFwiki session points to it maybe being Windrazor, but surely that's a bit obscure for a kiddy competition??

    glad it's not just me!

    It's Tornado, the European 1993 release of the toy that would eventually be called "Windrazor" when released elsewhere!

    @Maz - that's some properly next level enablement there - that trip into TFwiki reminded me i was missing a couple of skyscorchers, Tornado/Windrazor being one of them - so i'm pretty much duty bound to scour TFN for one now, aren't i?

    bravo sir, bravo :D

    @MyTea Boc,
    It's a good bet food was on his mind....good thing he didn't get into next doors garden as they have a rabbit :D

    @barry,
    Thanks!, I've told him that it's a good job he picked a day with nice weather to go walkabout as it's pissing down again today which he seemed to take as a cue to go back to sleep :D

    @Avon,
    Cheers! was such a relief to find him relatively quickly before he got too far, could have done without my Mum trying to make me feel even more guilty during the whole deal as she seizes on any opportunity to find fault in me but I shut that down pretty quick. The main thing is that Oreo's back and OK, I just have to ensure something like that doesn't happen again.

    I agree on the scale thing being very annoying particularly in Legends threads because there's such minimal differences between the different versions of it that arguments get ridiculous even quicker than with larger figures.

    I remember some of our early TMUK meet ups where the meeting point was at the Fort Max in Hamleys.
    It was pretty destroyed - but certainly not by us!
    I wonder who ended up with it?
