its sad to see you had such issues but my personal experience has always been A* with kapow even when a toy has had issues I just emailed and mentioned Andy personally and they have bent over back wards to help. in fact all the small uk businesses have been great and very personal when I have contacted them. im just hoping that you had a new or unexperienced member of staff that wasn't sure how to deal with the issues you had deal with your messages. I know it doesn't help you but im sure it wasn't done with malice or in any way to rip you off. that's just my 2 cents on the matter

Ah yes, that's a tricky time to be buying new stuff for several reasons. I've seen other posters saying Amazon exclusives tend to be reasonably well-stocked, so hopefully you can sort yourself out a teleporty boi once you've settled in to the new place.

I moved house about fifteen times over twenty years. It's crushing. If I have my way, the only way I'll be leaving this house is in a coffin.

I'm so glad I found this thread because if I had to rely on twitter I would probably be put off interacting with many people about transformers. Some people are batshit crazy and offended by someone breathing the wrong way or even breathing at all. Honestly fuck off of a public platform if you can't hold a conversation.

That has been my experience with Kapow in the past, but this year it's been quite different. Not at the level of "Bill's toys and games", but for sure not very good.

I have 9 orders left, and I am seriously considering cancelling everything and deleting my account. I don't need any stress from this hobby, Hasbro UK or not.

I know what you mean, there are some TF folk on Twitter I never interacted with who have me blocked for some reason. I just sing Somebody Hates Me by Reel Big Fish to myself and get on with my day.

There are some lovely folk on there too of course so everything is subjective

Kapow are still my go to store. Tried ordering Siege stuff from Diamond Comics because they've got stuff at a reasonable price for a change (TRU closure really hit Hasbro it seems) but half of the stuff hasn't turned up and having to keep customers informed with zero updates from Diamond or HasbroUK is not fun.

Oof! Got a bit of screenburn going on but fings crossed it'll be worth it!
    Fort Max Viewscreen copy.png
Now to see how they print, I don't have high hopes for the Club Con transmission interception as the shrinking of the art clip didn't go so well even in Photoshop. That's what happens when you don't go the long way round and make vectors!
At that scale though you're never gonna get every detail unless you have Micro-vision, and I'm pretty confident about the Nebulos, Earth and Earth Satellite tracking screen. The "Now leaving Cybertron" shot was a last minute addition after realising I had more empty screens left once I'd done them and the Season 1 thru 4 plus Headmasters menu screens AND doubled them up as potential spares.
Now I'm just going to go put my eyeballs in a glass of warm milk.

There are some very very scary TF fans out there (and to be fair probably in here too), but things are mostly kept to a minimum here. :)

In terms of the Kapow discussion, all good for me this year. Very helpful when I have have to adjust orders... The Hasbro uk waves issue is annoying, but to be fair they have a tick box which I go through every time about orders being shipped together, and that’s the price I pay for being a cheapskate and not wanting to spend the individual shipping cost for every item!

I believe the world would genuinely be a better place if twitter no longer existed.

My overall experience with Kapow over the years was very good and it's a shame things ended like they did particularly considering it was the owner I dealt with during the majority of this problem.

With better communication it could have been different and I wouldn't have felt pushed towards the course of action that resolved it but the question was raised whether anyone had any recent issues and this was my experience.

Do you just get the MFT versions for the Phase Sixers? I kinda want to do that since my Sixshot has a broken shoulder and Sky Shadow is a pain to acquire, but my IF Overlord is still holding up fine. Decisions!

When I see the Hulk and Thing fighting it reminds me of Harry Hill, people love Beans, People love Peas, but which is better... Fight.
