So jealous. It's testament to the quality of the T30 Springer mould when the best official Roddy is just a repaint of another character.

Easily! Fort Max has a pair of 5mm holes at the front bottom corner of his tower segments when they're split, There's about a 1cm difference between the two holes depending on the size of weapon you want to mount on there/how far you want them to project outwards.

(Sneakily snapped this segment from the TFW Reflector gallery of SDCC Max because Sh!tcam won't get as clear an image under eco-bulb lighting.)

I've always preferred G1 toy Macross Jetfire and think the sticker for the visor makes the alternate head look much nicer and the other details do a good job of breaking up all that white which is something that's always bugged me about the Skyfire look.

 

Oh nice. Mines been in city mode so long, i forgot what those parts look like. Also thought those red parts either side were part of the mounting. Only now remembered your max is far from stock. Looks really great. Those guns are probably my fav of the mechtech stuff. Might get a pair for my max.

Oh, yeah, I keep forgetting about the red IF "shotguns" on 'em.
Since the red Dr. Wu Brawn guns replaced them on his forearm turrets I eventually figured out I could pop 'em on there as dedicated independent point defence guns for the more "main" hip guns they're attached to. A nice nod to how massive he is IMO.

Been a quiet 3 weeks---immediately following my holidays I just had to descend into deep study as I was way behind and had a uni assignment coming. Why oh why did I decide to go back to studying as a mature student?  

In terms of figures, it's been a very quiet month. Nothing new after the two TFTM Leg Stunticon bots, but I did score in an X-Transbots Dead End preorder.

It does feel like I don't want to buy as often anymore [in fact, only retail figures I have my eyes on is the WFC Seeker mould, and of course the lil targetmasters with effect parts].

However, what that does is make me seek other things to buy and collect---manga, some comic books, other types of figures. It's like trading one addiction with another one

Perilously close to a d*ck pic of Fort Max to show off the pointless bits of tech greeble I've glued to the struts of his waist dishes to make their homebaked funkiness a bit less obvious from the ridiculous angle I'll almost never actually be seeing them from but, dammit, I'll know they're there looking tidier!
