I got a bit confused too, good thing I realised the UK site still had Dirty Man in stock as I'd otherwise have ended up having to pay even more for it.

    So that's Dubhe bought then.

Up on Kapow now as a single, patience actually paid off.

Sorry for the delay on reading it @incapable hulk , but your top 10 of 2018 was a fantastic read during a shitty day at work. Anything with a Janetty/HBK reference from the Barber shop in is pure gold. I remember that and it genuinely was quite violent for the time.

It always used to go off on the Barber shop, I remember Sid going nuts on it in the build up before the Hogan match.

    Good times.

Confusing isn't the word. I wound up buying my Dubhe from TFS Express using their domestic pre order page. He's arriving tomorrow.

    @Underlord,
    Alrighty then! :D

Got an invoice from Kapow for Iron Factory Tarn after requesting I pay for him separately so I'll get that sorted later when I get back from the farm.

So looking into it, I think it might in fact be an issue with the source artwork in the latest Hachette Volume:

Personally I wouldn't have minded a bit of a bolder 'remastering' that fixed the atrocious lineart in the Underbase Saga but c'est la vie.

So, a quick 5 minutes with him. Main take-away? He's gorgeous. A perfect, pocket-sized representation of one of the best designs in MTMTE. The bad? One of his shoulders is scary tight. That's it. :D

Ok, so in response to @Sixo's twitter thread about G1 box art, somebody posted a picture of a poster he'd picked up back in the day... and I must admit I was filled with the jealousy.

But then I remembered I was SO GOOD at Photoshop, so I spent a little bit of time to do what the Marvel comics Matrix would do...

    I RECREATE IT.

    Dxv6QsQXcAEN59L.jpg

Shiny A3! It's not quite the same as the vintage poster, I only included 5 panels (instead of 6) all from US/UK box art so they'd get a bit extra space. They were also reordered (in year order) so it 'flows' better, and the margins have been tidied up. The 'only' thing that bothers me is the 'F' on the logo looks wrong... and yet that's it exactly as it is on the Marvel UK comic cover logo? I've seen it slightly different from different sources though... I wonder why there's a difference?

    Anyway, is good.

Well, last payday for the foreseeable future so I ordered Dubhe from Kapow as a treat.

Decided last night I’m going to decimate my comic collection still further in order to raise money for Flame Toys Tarn, WHO MUST BE MINE, so I’m going to sell complete runs of Morrison’s New X-Men and Batman, Bendis’ Daredevil and probably Vaughn’s and Whedon’s runs on Runaways - all easily available in omnibuseses so it’s not that big a loss. I’ve probably got more stuff in there too but I’ll come across it as I sort I guess.
