I like the Whirl toy because it is a toy of Whirl. I think Thew's reviews sums it up. It's mostly naff but still fun. The weapons you get with it are fucking shite mind but the alternative is Turben which doesn't do it for me. He's a bit too chonky.

He does look like a good figure, I like the chunkyness (love the chunky bayes). But I'm happy enough with Gen30 Whirly

I have the Obsidian version of that. Good figure, but yeah, bit too much chunk for idw whirl. Saying that, i think it's the closest we'll ever get. The comic design is just too spindly to work fully in plastic.

Good man. I fecking love Turben. And Turben loves me.

    image.jpeg

I let Turben do stuff to expensive Megatron figures.

I actually can't stand the Mumpty Whirl as a design (fight me I dares ya!!!!) and this works to me as about the best "approximation" of the idea of IDW Nutjob we are likely to get that I can take aesthetically. Plus those razor thin Milne limbs would be a QC and physical safety nightmare to try and realise in the plastic.

    So there.

Modern life is not only rubbish it can't make its mind up: those Capt Marvel Figures trapped in customs Limbo in 'Merka are still trapped, but Amazon have managed to free one of the four and its out for delivery "before 8PM" today. I cannot fathom how/what/where/why that makes any sense to anyone but let's see if Amazon are as good as their word.

I can see it. I wouldn;t ask for spindly legs unless secure, but for me Turben goes that little bit too far the other way, mainly in his upper torso. Somewhere between him and the spindly design would be ideal.

I am *itching* to get my hands on Red Heat to sort him out, get those white strut/heel spurs red dye-dipped, paint in his missing wheels, and suitably metallic up his roof lights!

THIS is why I bothered coming to work today.

***Just realised he has two left wings, dammit! Oh well, can't be bothered to return him just for that - it's only visibly different on one wing connector***

So if you drop your bottle of hand sanitiser in your bag where it gets covered in stuff but also leaks over everything, does that mean the bag is clean, or that the hand sanitiser is dirty?

Also only 123 pages of this topic to go until we get to to 12345 pages.

I wanted to but ultimatly went for the normal edition, considering stuff like losing my job, christmas, the AGDQ... I had to make a choice and went for Iconoclasts in collector edition :)
The Celeste box is awesome though ! LOVE the game, and the cool thing is I already have the OST and some arts, so I'm not too sad =)

What happens when you pour Dettol into a Yakult? Does the 'good' bacteria survive?

Well, my Ultima Guard turned up.

    Blown away by it.

It may not be the most G1 accurate of the 3 animation Omega Supremes (DX9 wins) but it looks like OS, feels like OS and the quality is amazing. Plus it has the working tank and lights/sounds.

Feels infinitely more Omega Supreme than the G1 Toy.

The Medic Figure is a great addition too.

Been after one for ages and a UK seller put 3 up this week so I was straight in there.

The only issue is that he is too tall for all my displays lol.

For £180 shipped though he is great value esp considering how much figure you are getting with size, weight and functionality in mind.

    Not a Transformer.

My guess is that in line with Trumpian-Doctrine they deported the Brit/Alien first. So just the other three hostages to be released.
