Ok, this will be last of the PotP Nemesis Prime spam... I hope.

    wvg4fho6 copy.jpg

But yeah... he's a pretty boy.

    Edit
I've edited the sideways pic. Yeah, aside from his stacks and chest lights I painted his waist too. I also silver Sharpied the inside of the cab windows, which lightens them up a lot. I had Molotowed them previously, but the Chrome doesn't reflect light back through like the Sharpie does (weird) so I stripped it and started again. Add the Faction symbol on the rear of the cab and job's a good 'un.

Oh and I stiffened his ankles too! I reckon this is the most I've done to a figure (not counting Reprolabels) in a long time.

    Noice.

I pre-ordered the Japanese release for some reason I can't recall, so I've got to wait until late December for him.

That’s the issue I had, hence me kicking off and getting a £5 discount. I think they are all at a distribution centre down south, hence why it is taking time to get up north. Just annoying but not life changing.

I don’t know why I bother getting excited for the 3P panel anymore. No Maketoys, no Iron Factory, nothing new from anyone aside from a couple of MP bits. There should be a disclaimer with the first slide:

“Don’t like FansToys? Piss off, that’s all we got.”

We got confirmation that some stuff is still coming! I do wonder if some of it is down to the race to get figures out first and not giving others a heads up, but that doesn’t fit with the theory that they are mostly the same company!

Colour me very excited for the Stunticon and Aerialbot updates from Fanstoys, even if as a whole I don't support the company as much as others do.

I like how each 3p is doing something different with their Motormasters---XTranbots only uses the cab for robot mode, I *think* DX9 is more akin to TFMission where they use the cab and half the trailer, whereas FT uses the ENTIRE vehicle for robot mode. Which scales down to an MP10 sized bot. From an MP10+trailer sized vehicle.

That alone is worth double-dipping into the Stunticon offerings.

    ZOMG.

Also I saw those Hasbro MCM prices the other day. I'm not there (on any day, *sigh*) but I got a friend to pick up a 12'' Marvel Legends Captain America for me for £30! Bear in mind these thing's RRP was £60+ (£70?) when they first came out. In. Sane. Makes me wonder if Hasbro directly sold their stuff online (instead of to retailers) at these prices would they not make more money for themselves? Course that would totally fuck the retail market but y'know. Those people don't need to eat right?

As to PotP Nemesis Prime'd Amazon delay... I wondered about this too. When I ordered mine last week it didn't take a day to arrive (as predicted with Amazon Prime) but 2 or 3 days. Why is that I wonder? I wonder if as an Amazon Exclusive this is being provided by Hasbro first from their warehouse? IE Amazon get x amount of orders a day, Hasbro then ship Amazons order of x to their warehouse after which it's in their system?

Could this (along with MCM) be a first step/salvo in Hasbro direct sales? It might explain Nemesis Primes absurdly (relatively) cheap price?

Quick question - does anyone have any advice for bending plastic into shape? A candy toy kit arived, and one of the pegs is bent massively forwards, meaning the poor guy's head is always looking at the floor!

Best bet is heating the plastic to bend back into shape, if it was bent on transit heating it should activate the plastic memory And move it reset it.

    Am I getting that right @tikgnat ?

Good show, was lovely meeting Chris Barrie, had a goid chat with John-paul Bove l, Jack Lawrence and Joanna Lafuente (excuse my spelling)

Good show but I think I prefer the focussed meetup nature of TFNation. Would still come again though!

Those Constructicons are 100% going to combine. We may finally get the Devascrotum.

As a side note, that yellow boy looks an awful lot like that tank chap Toyworld are doing. Future remould perhaps?

    Have you tried Steam?

    Serious.

Get something to hold the bend item away from you (like a pair of pliers or tongs or summat) then boil your kettle. At the end of the boil cycle steam should be coming out the spout of the kettle, hold the bent plastic in the jet of steam (taking care not to burn yourself) and it 'should' (assuming it's thermoplastic and not thermosetting) either revert to it's original mould configuration, or at least become soft enough to reshape yourself. Allow it to cool and hey presto, he can look up at the world again.
