    Haul :)

    image.jpg

It the Cybertron-Con one with the Orange Predaking, not the SDCC one with the clear Predaking. I’ve no idea if one is rarer than the other?

In other news I met Ross Kemp yesterday as he was filming at my workplace far a new documentary, he’s much shorter in real life...

Hola UKTD! Been weeks since i popped in, hope all's well with you lovely folk.

    @Neuta ™ Megapost time.....

Got a couple of nice things in the post today. Two TFUK pages from the early days, one from "The Enemy Within!" and one from "To a Power Unknown!"
First time i've had anything from the early days of the comic and first Simpson and Ridgeway pages too. Both in great condition, well happy here :D

Other comic stuff that's arrived over the past few weeks was the inked page from the Regen 1 pencils page i already had. Spotted the inks on Steven Baskervilles eBay page for a great price so had to jump on it. The pencil page came with the script so i now have the Script, Pencils, and Inks! So.... under a suggestion from @mcluskyism i asked JP Bove if he could print me out the colours and it's on it's way soon too! Just need the lettering page and i'll have the full set! :D

Not had much time to play around with any figures but these two beasts arrived, only had the chance to fee Ironshell and have a quick play around but he's solid as anything and really posable. Very much impressed. Already had ThousandKills so still need the other three, could be a bit tricky tracking them down as i'm really late to the game with this set.

Hmmm, this seems to be turning into a "Look at all the stuff Kev's bought" post...

LAST thing i've bought is this....

[IMG]Untitled by Kevin Gorman, on Flickr

There's three of them.....Not had a chance to use them yet but i may have to rethink what room i do photography in :lol

    And a few non-purchase things.

Slowly finishing off issue 300's cover (@MyTea Boc - Still need to give you a shout about that windsweeper) and it's coming together nicely. Well pleased with how the Starscream part is coming together. Still needs a bit more lasso work and polish to finish it though.

Also in lieu of having the time to make many new ones, i've been trying to polish up some of the older ones. First up are these ones. Both look much nicer now

    Oh yes, totally right :lol

Always found it a bit sad that no other Brawn figure ever had the original head. Even the badcube one didn't have it as a option.

    Good man!

    Here's your reward!

The igear one has a reasonable attempt on the back of it's head (I'm very tempted to print up some claw arms to go on him.)

Ah yes, good point! Totally forgot about that one. I really shouldn't have as i think i wrecked my thumb trying to turn it round. My copy had the stiffest head spin mechanism.

I also had an amusing experience whilst holding a skunk as Timone the meerkat (same one I mentioned earlier) decided to leap from the shoulder of the person he'd been perching on and landed on the skunk's back.

Fortunately the skunk didn't panic and unleash it's stink but I got a crash course in how to handle two different species with decidedly different temperaments at the same time.

One event was at a local garden centre and I was trusted enough to take Oreo for a short walk on his lead which was hilarious as he was into everything and insisted on climbing all the cat towers in the pet section. He also put his grabby hands to good use rummaging in people's bags and pockets for food....and possibly some of those batteries that Drax couldn't pronounce the name of :D

I don't know if it'll happen but I think there's potential for a great scene in a future movie if Rocket comes to Earth and comes across some redneck hunter types who shoot at him, only to discover that he's not as defenceless as their usual targets.

In one of the recent GOTG comics there was a bit where Rocket meets some regular raccoons for the first time and he said "Put some pants on guys" :D

So, watched Pacific Rim 2 and.......it's not bad. Seems like critical reaction is going to slam it through a few tables and we were hardly in a Black Panther-like scrum for tickets so civilians probably aren't going to go for it, but I didn't mind it at all. Yes it was fairly brainless, yes there is an awful lot of Bayhem going on, and yes the acting is soggier than yesterday's weetabix.

    But.

It felt like it had a lot more Giant Robot time this go around - somebody with a stop watch and a YouTube channel will prove me wrong no doubt - and that's basically all I went for. This is my '70s updated with a decent CGI budget. Basically what Bay's TFs could have been with less obnoxious design-work, no leg-humping or weeded-out adults. And proper deaths.

Spoilers: anyone with 9/11 flashbacks really shouldn't go see it. No Skyscraper spared.

So, that's the other two Jeagers ordered from big K. So as a Toy-Advert it certainly worked.

Now I get to sit in for the evening babysitting, listening to Screaming Trees and eating Steak. It's not a bad life right?
