    My sales have been flying. But there has got to be someone out there who wants an FOC Bruticus, even just out of curiosity of a monstrosity.....hasn't there?

    Come on mysterious hidden future buyer, help me finally get round to buying my first BT/Alt. Perhaps a Smokescreen, Rodimus or even a fancy Mirage. Who knows. I am already slightly inebriated.

    :D

    Aww Yeah, Opened Mah boi Slug today. Love. SlAg was the only dinobot I had as a kid, and this is a near perfect little update. My dinobot quest can happily end with POTP Slug and Swoop, the others would just be delicious gravy.

    Ripper Snapper is also very cool. I've never met a Robot Mole Shark that isn't cool. Bring on Blot and Cutthroat.

    Lonely boi for the moment, as I have another Detolf to build before I start moving his buddies in with him. But I'm excited for the possibility of having my whole collection on display at last.

    (So long as it fits)

    So a recent thing that happened to me pretty much sums up why Toys R Us are out of business.

    I bought a Steelbane in their sale, mainly cos it was only thing I had a vague interest in. £22.99 with 25% off in the closing down, £17.24. An "OK" prices.

    I checked the Smyths website the other week to see if they had any details for any of the new studio series. What did I see?

    Steelbane, in stock at my local Smyths at £15.

    So, with TRU, I got a 25% discount on something that was shelfwarming during their period where they're trying to throw stock out the door as fast as possible (though yes if I had waited this would probably be reduced further but no guarantee of being on the shelf at that point). Even before this day you were never able to check the stock or in store prices on their website.

    Smyths? I can check their stock online, even pay for it and reserve it to pick up later and it was at a higher discount just on general principles.

    Says it all really, doesn't it?

    My brother recently spilt with his girlfriend of several years and I couldn't get either of them to tell me why. I did sense that something wasn't 'right' about it though and kept pestering to find out the root cause.

    Turns out he is suffering from depression badly and had attempted suicide on a number of occasions. This really knocked me for six because we used to be so close back when we were younger and have drifted apart due to relationships and work etc. Finding out after the fact was something that would never have happened between is years ago.

    I don't understand depression... I have never had it and therefore can only try to empathise with people who suffer but that only gets you so far.

    My attitude toward life had always been to meet it face on, punch it in the teeth and kick it in the nuts... My brother seems to have an altogether different approach :(

    To all those suffering from depression, best of luck. I get the impression it's a bitch to live with.

    On a more positive note I am going to recycle these unless anybody wants them... You just need to pay for an envelope and postage to grab them. The issue 1s have awesome gatefold covers that would make sweet posters on the wall.

    I think the explanation of depression being like a black dog that follows you around is a good one.

    I'll take these if they're still around :D

    As for depression, I would say that I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy but I'm someone who REALLY hates people when I hate 'em, so I wish that George Osborne suffers with every fibre of my being.

    I've never heard that, but it's apt. I've always described it as a black cloud, though some days are darker than others.

    Massive thanks to the threadziens who helped out with this line up (bee is in storage)

    It feels weird knowing I’m just a windcharger and trailbreaker away from mp completion.

    As for classics there is only the horrorcons and throttlebots (and a cheeky Titan scorpy) .

    Looks like my main focus is legends moving forward.

    I have that Huff, and whilst he is charming and full of character, I'm not sure he's actually any good. Some thin panels in the cab, and those legs are so 2009.

    Seems like Gears has a similar issue, but they look great together.

    Edit: I also saw someone posting rare battlebeasts, don't renenrem who. I have loads of them from when I was a kid, I'd love to see a collection pic!

    This sounds... ominous. I'll be blunt, it really sounds like you'll set aside as much money aside for your niece, and then you're going to top yourself when the ferrets die. Am I misreading that?

    Reach out man. Please.

    Hrm.

    Okay! Back to toys. I got my Snarl and Sludge yesterday! And uhm... combining him... was destinctly underwhelming. I was expecting too much maybe. Or it's just shit. In any case I had a look online and a fiddle and have settled on this look.

    And yes, Volcanicus is really talking to his Dad, Dinopope with his TR Clobber head.

    Lastly, it's totally not stable in that configuration, and it's actually braced by a wee rubber band that's strapping the handguns together, so it's pretty solid.

    I have no idea why that picture decided to be so small...

    Horses for courses but personally I really dig the boxy cab and leg design. Overall he is just a fun little toy who screams huffer to my sensibilities.

    @tikgnat,
    No, you're unfortunately bang on, at times it seems like that's the only path I have left.

    After a week of very little sleep and experimenting with reduced dosages on my meds I was in a bad place and little issues become big ones in my head and my thoughts ended up going down the darkest path. It's how things often go with this depression thing, it's like a zombie horde and I'm not allowed a crossbow or a Colt Python to fight it off, just a series of tablets which don't seem to do anything but make me feel nauseous and drowsy all the time.

    I have thought a lot over the past several hours, about a lot of things.

    I could walk away and give my detractors here what they want and ultimately become another statistic but I've come so far this year that I refuse to allow that momentum to go to waste and all the good people here far outweigh the bad.

    Instead, it is my intention to continue to improve my situation. I know there'll be more speed bumps to deal with but I'm getting better at getting over them, it's not too long ago that something like this would have taken several days to get out my system.

    To everyone who messaged me privately or posted something here,
    Thank you all, I hope to be at TF Nation on the Saturday and meet some of you, it would seem that I have a lot of pints to buy :D

    @Toadimus Prime,
    Hope everything goes well with the wedding & beyond!

    @nice sideburns & @nemisispringer,
    Glad your packages arrived safely!
