    The weather here is awful.

    There’s two feet of snow outside....

    Such a shame to see TRU go to the wall. They should have downsized their stores to the smaller high street shops years ago.

    Here's the other one....

    Was in a hurry hence blurred shots. Hoping to get some proper snaps later before this weather goes.

    @Seeaich "So sad. Let's hope we don't see the Entertainer and Smyths get in a Thunderdome price war, then the winning franchise elevate their pricing when they dominate the market just as TRU did.
    Corporations never seem to learn Top Dog is not a permanent post, unless you bite down hard and keep fighting for it"

    Maybe, just maybe it will serve as a wake up
    call against complacency and greed.
    Nah, who am I kidding

    But that wouldn't have increased sales, allowing for bigger bonuses for the executives despite it being built on huge debt.

    The last Transformer I bought from Woolies was Animated Ratchet.

    The last ones I got from TRU were TR Highbrow & Chromedome when they were reduced to a few quid less than the RRP.

    Whilst it sucks for people who work there etc I can't say I'll be shedding any tears for TRU's demise from a collecting standpoint because it's not like I've ever been one to rely on any mainstream retail outlet....I can secure what I'm after with a few clicks of a mouse button with no messing.

    @Seeaich,
    I had a dickish bus driver last week when I was on my way home, the bus had pulled the length of a car away from the stop and was not moving due to heavy traffic and the fucker wouldn't let me on and it wasn't like it was full. It wouldn't move for the next 5 minutes.

    @beardy,
    Otto looks amazing!

    Am off to see Bill Bailey in Nottingham with my niece Katie tomorrow night. We're meeting up for something to eat beforehand which'll be nice as we'll be able to catch up and have a natter without my Mum chipping in and trying to put a dampener on things.

    Things at the charity store have been going fairly well although the last week or so has been quieter due to a lack of people donating stuff so there's been less to do. On the bright side I feel like I'm getting used to the routine and working mainly with women is beneficial in the sense that it's improving my ability to talk about stuff unrelated to my hobbies and it's also helping loosen the chip on my shoulder that's built up over the years due to being treated badly by women in my family over my lifetime and also during my last years at school and in my early experiences in work.

    Whether I'll ever get to a point where I could see any value in trying to pursue any other kind of relationship is presently something I'm uncertain of, but if I can get on OK in a working environment that's at least a start.

    Yup, Usually the sort of dick who won't let you off away from a stop if they overshoot it either but then let it slide if they're running late or it turns out to be more convenient for 'em.
    Be sure I had a shit-eating grin on my face when I "thanked" him on entry. ;)  VICTORY!

    EDIT:

    @barry Is your TOTP Wave 2 order with Kapow too? If so for your good self, and anybody else waiting, some mixed news from FB:

    You're making me want to use money I don't have on these Dinobots

    OMG I never expected these to happen and is the most unexpected result in a fan vote that I've seen
    But getting serious here there are a lot of reasons why I was hoping this two wouldn't win and is mostly because I really think Impactor needs a voyager; especially for the fact that this toy will look puny when put next to T30 Springer or TR Broadside and the fact that he won't really fit with any of the CHUG Wreckers size wise.
    As for Mirage, I mean, we already got a Classics and CW version which are both pretty cool toys and don't think we really needed another, but, I am interested in seeing the cybertronian alt-does

    Last Woolies purchase was a washing line, a Lost Prophets CD (so far beyond the pale now I can hear the boos as I type, and rightly so) and a Star Wars figure. Probably a Clone. I miss Woolies. Sigh.

    Last TRU purchase? Well let's see.
