Rippersnapper is fun but I am slightly annoyed at the zero transformation involved in his arms. Also you can see his robot mode head through the shark mouth which I find hilarious.

 

It’s so cold in the shop I can’t feel my fingers, it’ll have to be a (bunged up with cold) vocal performance  

I think I’ll be heading back pretty, pretty soon. Lots of shops open but they’re all empty

 

Cold enough for faceplates.

 

I'm bang in to Blot too. Sinnertwin looks muderous, cut throat looks suitably angular and angry. I love, love the Dinobots but as a team of individuals these guys are incredibly hard to ace.

I almost plunked the £22 for Rippersnapper at ID yesterday, but I'm holding out as I'd rather ship the other dinobots at the same time and they're not in stock. Might hold out for an actual in-store find.

 

Unfortunately not.

I did have a look for tickets a week or two ago. There were only two seats available but either end of the top tier. Not ideal for the wife and I.  
I shall try and catch him next time he tours though.

We went to see him at the Arena some years back. Only downside to the whole thing was that we booked priority tickets through his website a week before they went on general sale but didn't know where we were sat. When the tickets arrived we were about 5 rows from the back!

 

Fully, fully agree on the Terrorcon love - I'm a right scramble city fanboi, and to me the absolute pinnacle of the g1 combiners are Computron and Abominus - ironically both combiners I never got any components of back in the day...

Snow update: - had a pretty flurry this morning on the way into work (20 mins down what is probably going to turn into a ski slope) - but there's worse forecast for later, and the second it ticks round to 'red' warning, I'm out the door home - probably sack off tomorrow as from the looks of things even polar bears would baulk at the idea of going out in it. it's not so much the snow, but that wind - it's so bloody biting...

I was likely at that Arena show, I remember him making a very dry comment about "loving these old Victorian venues"  

When I ordered the tickets for tonight there were 3 seats left on a row but it wouldn't let me order just 2 for some reason so I ended up getting 2 in the one of the side bits in the top tier.

 

Snow latest: It's actually stopped! The downside to that is that it's even deeper than it was earlier this morning. Small dogs would get lost in it.

Thinking of combiners, I absolutely adore the Terrorcons. They're just wonderful designs, and Abominus looks great too. The only combiner team that beats them (for me, anyway) is the Seacons. The idea of a Targetmaster combiner, where any of the limbs can double as the weapon, is gloriously mad. I really hope we get a decent update!

Bot of the day!
So I can't hate the OG Throttlebots. I think they're actually a really nice evolution of the minibot 'super deformed' penny racer style toy. They're a cheap, gimmicky bit of fun, and even back in 1987 I was still fresh faced enough to thrill to the little 'pull back' engines. Now that it feels more certain that we're not going to be seeing any further Generations Throttlebots, for the foreseeable future at least, I'm actually kind of frustrated with 'Roadburn'. At the time I welcomed him, thinking it was a refreshing change from the inevitable Cliffjumper repaint. Now, as I sit with just one lonely Throttlebot, I kind of think maybe it'd have been better to have given us one more Cliffjumper.

 

I have ungodly (well, not in the carnal sense) love for the throttlebots. Yeah, awesome that we got road burn, but he’s not got his toy face, and his g1 car just had oodles more charm than the update.

I watched a video review of Rippersnapper the other day and he really does look quite smashing. It's just a bloody shame that Hun-Gurrr is such a duffer as it really puts me off buying the team.
