Yeah, it's not cheap, Premier Inn where we stayed last year was only £12 for the whole 3 days. Not manned like the Hilton though so...

Well, I think it's the trade off between being able crawl into into bed as opposed to traipsing back to your hotel. In any case I for one can't wait for TFN, it'll be my first all weekend convention! Wowzers.

I'm almost jealous of myself. Better get my suitcase packed and shopping list sorted.

    Edit
Also, while at a play date yesterday for the kids I saw that they were using these plain white card figures that the kids are meant to draw in. So I decided to help myself to one of the cards and their sharpies/felt tip pens...

    This is my masterpiece.

Local tip folks - have google of resorts worlds parking, there's a cinema in there where you can scan a parking ticket for a reduced rate. They don't give a shit whether you've watched a film or not.

Other than that there is free parking at marston green station and cheaper parking at Birmingham international stations as well - marston green is one stop/3 minutes from international, which is the NEC station.

    Nice work la'!

Light tent, tripod and lamp set up is meant to be coming this week. I think I might need to get a macro lens or something. So much learn! I amy also have to visit the opticions too. My eyes are feeling the strain.
    Anyway, hot from the lab...

Sometimes I forget that a) We actually did get some excitingly obscure Generations 'bots pre-Thrilling 30 and b) How bloody great Straxus, I mean 'Darkmount', is! Such a poseable prince and a wonderful bastard. Pity that every Blaster I have (bar Action Master) towers over him.

Right on, thanks for the heads up. I was checking out the thread for UW Computron and they were mentioning on possible fixes like using Pledge floor polish or tightening the spring, thus adding more tension. Anyone done this already? Also, anyone know a place that sells the floor polish? Some of my old figures are in a desperate need of a fix.

The Community Shield kicks off at 2, so my afternoon will feature football, ferrets and figures, the latter only when the ferrets have gone back in their cages 'cos I'm not having a change round of my 1:6 scale displays with those mad fuckers bouncing around the place :D

    barry,
I'm a fan of Darkmount, I particularly like the axe.

Went from a long full beard to a short goatee and got 16 inches chopped off my hair.

Look about ten years younger and my wife is gonna take a while to adjust, she sees to find me more attractive the less of me she can actually see.

Just finished prep for TFNation. Here's some of the stuff available from the Toy Fu table, free with any purchase. All the profits from Toy Fu go to the charity Mary's Meals.

Pretty much any major supermarket, definitely ASDA and Sainsbugs at least, you're looking for "Pledge Multi-Surface Wax" after the last rebrand IIRC (and if it hasn't re-branded again).

Ooooooh, once this mega upload is done you lot are getting such a Spamming! C-mon, spinny wheel, COME ON.

    That's genuinely quality!

That's a good amount of clippage! And Ha ha, totally the same here; I'm constantly getting hints to grow my hair out. I 'accidently' shaved my head and face a lot closer than usual this week and have been getting glowering looks since.
