Thanks to @gtf316 the magical mystery tour stopped by me..................TRANSFORMERS GOOOOOOOOOO.

Definitely not a toy that featured on my radar, so was really cool to check out.
I love that you can combine into 3 different configurations, a whole heap of fun even if the result wasn't always as good as the fun transformations/combining. I really liked transforming and combing these guys.

My favourite of the 3 combiner combinations................BADASSSSSS.
    New Image.jpg

    Love this headsculpt!
    New Image.1.jpg
And I think this part of the combiner is f**king awesome, with a better torso and legs I would love this!! The aesthetic is is so sick.
    New Image.5.jpg
Another cool headsculpt..........I didn't picture the other Kabuto/combination. Proportionally the best, but I didn't like the head at all.
    New Image.6.jpg
The Kabutos!! Awesome paint apps and sculpting.
Weird fact, Kabutos in greek means condom. I guess the y do cover the head, so you know.................pretty accurate a name!!
    New Image.4.jpg New Image.3.jpg New Image.2.jpg

A massive thanks to Graeme for the chance to check this set out.
Was heaps of fun, and I know I wouldn't have seen or played wit this set in any other way!
Come TFN on Friday I'm passing the set on to the next lucky contestant....................IT COULD BE YOU!! ;)

    A little Action Master love!
I do like the Action Masters, but man...when you see that Bumblebee's as tall as Grimlock and his head looks so massive! I draw the line at having a Devastator in there. That's just too much for my little heart.

Man, I'd love for more of those characters to get proper transforming updates. Especially Rad and Skyfall.

Nice to see the mystery tour is chugging along.

So glad you got a kick out of them mate, must admit to preferring Ganoh on top myself, just love those brawler proportions..... until you get to the legs.

Its definitely a very different set of figures, wish I'd held on to the Ninja team and Optimus Ex-Prime and sent them all around together, give each contestant the complete batshit mental experience.

So i had to make a few adjustments to CW Streaker straight away, just a dash of black on the toes and alot of black (plus the thumb/finger section removed) on the 'engine' so i can put it in with the engine facing back so it sits closer...Mr Clod hands also managed to somehow gouge out a small chunk out of the intake:

and the WIP chestpiece that just needs me to find the right yellow to colour match and then I can add the windows:

And after you talked me out of one as well! Good to hear the quality is there I'll probably get one eventually but saving for trypticon (and praying for a sale) and holiday spending money is a priority at the minute.

Glad to hear jazz went to a good home, bloody love that mould.

I've never owned an Action Master and never will(!) but they do look kinda great lined up like that!

I remember when they first came out - I was told I was too old for toys (I was ten!) which is ridiculous as I'm thirty seven now and I fucking love toys! So the only experience with them I had was seeing them at a friends house. I thought they were basically gonna be G.I. Joes (Action Force! We all know they were really Action Force!) with a Transformer 'skin'. I was disappointed that they were lacking in that basic articulation that Action Force had. I thought the legs were great (did they have knees? I remember knees!) but no elbow joints! Still, they were pretty great representations of the characters in that cartoon that allegedly existed! (I'm in the UK - I never got to see it much!) So yeah, that's a lot of rambling really just to say great pic! :D  Thanks for the memories and all that...

Argh, I am so close on this thing. Nice write up motor...I really don't wanna buy it but I feel like I am going to at some point. What I've been waiting for is a Springer who has that flip out arm cannon from the movie. None of the third parties seem to be including it. But the price on this one makes it harder to resist.

What's the alleged dodginess around it? Classic third party japes?

Yes, and to be honest I'm not going to take the shine off the New Toy Joy by going digging looking for the whats and wherefores in the Thread but it's something about a Collaboration to underprice and therefore undercut FT, or MMC, or Newport County or the Brownies or some such bollocks. In the same way the MP36 "leak" was supposed to be a dagger-thrust from Somebody Big and Scary in 3P Land into the hearts of the various Megatrons of that time.

That worked so well I sold MP36 and kept Despotron so probably not the effect that was being sought.......

Anyway. I agree that the wrist cannon would have been the topper on this - even if it was only of the clip on variety id love it - but the engineering on a full "flip-out" version would be beyond the space available in the forearm even with this size of figure. They have to hide the hand after all and a Diabattles type revolving wrist cannon would maybe work but look totally wrong.

    But we can dream.

There may well be "better" Springers ahead - it's not guaranteed but certainly possible - but this Guy was well worth the dosh and impressive as a "debut" effort from.......whoever they are.

    "Butch, Who are those Guys?!"

I'm still dipping into my TFN budget, even this close...managed to snag the Siege set from eBay for £135 and the clones for £35 all including delivery.

To be fair it's also putting a dent in the things I'm looking for but does reduce my scope for impulse buys.

I don't know if that is a good thing or ab bad thing. I very nearly had a meltdown at work today when they told me they were changing me to a night shift on Thursday. Bearing in mind I've got train tickets etc all sorted out for Friday morning to B'ham, words that rhymed with 'duck' and 'cough' were used in quick succession. This combined with the fact that I reminded my line manager about at least two favours he owed me seems to have kept the wolves at bay....
