Package from Comics & Cocktails arrived with the NECA Big Chap and it's great, just got to be careful with some of the joints as they're on the stiff side and a couple of the tubes that extend from the sides of his head and go into his back are very thin so I'll be taking extra care when moving the head around. Fantastic sculpt, enough articulation for the character, great paint apps that give it that slightly sticky look and there's a bendy wire in the tail too! One minor niggle is that the inner jaws don't have a spring mechanism but it's easy enough to work around. Accessories are what you'd expect namely, 1 opened egg with base 1 facehugger 1 chestburster So you get the life cycle of the Alien in one box which makes for a very good package! Ooof, it's quite telling that Black Panther 2: Waka Waka! is on Plus and I can't really care That Guardians threequel is gonna need to do some damage because the bad movie and TV fatigue is real now.
We watched it last night and while I wasn't wowed by it the same way I was by the First Black Panther movie, it is GOOD. Not great, but GOOD. Also be prepared to read a LOT. I appreciate the use of actual Mayan and whatever Wakandan is Frankensteined out of but there's a LOT of subtitled exposition. It's also heavily part of the Soundtrack which makes for some great moments. I'm loathe to use the word "exotic" but it really created another world for me. Spoiler I WISH it was socially acceptable to gorrila/ baboon hoot at someone who was talking bollocks, the way the Jabeeri tribe do in these films
I thought they snatched defeat from the victorious jaws with the first (Chadwick and Michael were just wasted after doing so well), so I haven't felt inspired at all by Panther (the character) seemingly getting sidelined in their own movie again. And I'm sorry but that is nobody's idea of Namor.

Gonna put this in spoilers but just a nice touch I was reminded of while rewatching some Miraculous Ladybug: Spoiler: Season 4 of MLB I love the subtle foreshadowing done in the Season 4 opener 'Truth' when the Kwami see Marinette's friends on a video call - her friends can't see them as technology can't see or hear Kwami - Daizzi says "They look so cute. I want her as my holder." and the following dialogue from Trixx saying "She's taken" suggests that they interpreted Daizzi as referring to Alya... except Rose, Daizzi's actual eventual holder is also on screen at the time and I choose to believe Daizzi was actually referring to her Something else I just noticed: While Trixx and Daizzi are the wrong way around, Roarr and Mullo are positioned over their eventual holders in the shot! Might be a coincidence but I choose to interpret it as foreshadowing Also, I need more Purple Tigress dammit! And more often than not it was on a movie the studio couldn't leave alone. They clearly don't even storyboard shit at ground level now either because of the massive reshoots that always happen on larger productions (even TV shows). Then you've got the studio (Fox/Disney are especially notorious for fucking with directors). Then a test audience for an almost completed movie, apparently made up of some of the dumbest people alive going by the average 3rd act. The fundamentals are all wrong. Jesus, Hollywood spends tens of millions on spec scripts they don't even use, or worse, merges 3 or 4 of them. There's just no planning because almost everything has to be a blockbuster now. And fast.
I'm really hoping we get the grey/black deco at some point because even wearing flippers Hordak is awesome! Ork Plane! Well final Ork Plane I promise. I just heard from my oncologist. When the surgeon did the liver surgery they couldn't find any cancer, only dead cells (which they removed). I still have to have another mri on my bowel to check to see if there's still nothing there, but it's entirely possible that I don't have cancer anymore... I'm kind of in a state of shock. I'm one of the first people to have had this kind of complete response to the immunotherapy. I'll still need to be monitored, and I'll still need the bowel surgery if anything comes back, but bloody hell
