Hmm ever have that feeling where you just don't click with a figure in hand? For me it's the bargain House of X Jean Grey (or whatever she's called) I just can't get on with the costume and this style of glove which work fine on Scarlet Witch just look like washing up gloves in yellow... I've yet to even get as far as taking her out of the packaging even :-/ while I wanted a normal Jean Grey I don't think this is she for me... maybe I'll try chucking her up on ebay sometime? Wouldn't mind a fig of the green version Phoenix costume if I'm honest, it'd go well with my Dark Phoenix fig. Edit: I just realised that young teen bod for Valeria Richards has some potential usage for some X-Men such as younger Kitty Pride for example.

So I decided to start watching Dino Fury and I'm enjoying it greatly. It's nice it doesn't have that 90s cringeworthiness that MMPR has (as much as I love it), sure it's still got some of that Power Rangers cheese but that's part of the charm also I think it not having 60-odd episodes per season means it's got a bit more focus and less randomness. Them also not being high school students (I think...) also helps, I've never really enjoyed school settings all that much - though Ladybug seems to be a notable exception. It doesn't feel like a slog to get through right now either. Of course now I want to get the whole team in Lightning Collection though I think right now there's only two. Well, one released and Dino Fury Green on the way. Though I can't help feeling they'll release them all again with the power up arm thing at some point. I might be tempted by some of the toy figures I must admit.
Roboto came today, which is nice. Feels a lot heavier in hand than previous masterverse, perhaps they've changed the plastic? The only down side is to do with the right arm: 1) it's not coming off without a hot bath or a blast from a hairdryer and 2) they took out the elbow articulation points on that side.
