What if they were like Animated Bumblebee and Bulkhead? Would this make people like them any better? I was just watching "End Game part 1" and I was thinking to myself "I would like the twins a lot better if I knew that they would act like this more than Jar Jar or Fred (from YouTube)" Any thoughts? I am not saying that Bumblebee or Bulkhead are "dumb" but I think that their behavior would be ok for Skids and Mudflap to act (Bumblebee and Bulkhead respectively).

I say we see how they act now before wondering if they would be more likeable if they acted different.

 

When Mudflap gets sucked up by Devastator, you can kind of hear some sort of accent.

 

That his voice. You can hear he is screaming.

 

I heard a Jar Jar like lisp kind of to his voice (probably not the right word to use). Either way it sounded goofy but that is beside the point. I don't care how they sound honestly, just what they act like. If they make me laugh I won't hate them. I might not love them but I won't post horrible threads saying "death to the twins!"

 

Judging from what we've seen/heard/read, I don't think that's going to be an issue.

I really hope that's not the case but Knowing Bay, that could be the damn truth. Those bot designs have so much personality but with personalities like that they lose a good 80% of it.

 

Thug wannabes? I hope not. That doesn't fit the naive, dumb, fanboy like personality. And they don't want to influence kids to talk or act like thugs. I doubt this is true unless if it came from a confirmed DreamWorks/Paramount/Bay's crew/trusted Transformers news base (like TFW or Seibertron)

. Not my words exactly but given the pitch of Mudflaps voice in the trailer and the stories we've heard about the two I can only picture two really sad white kids with their pants nearly around their ankles and a backwards hat. The other spoilers posted from the donmurphy are all pretty consistant with what we've heard so far. This happened to be added with them. Like I said, I hope it's not true.

My concern is hardly the kids. Kids nowadays say far worse as they're on a whole new level of swearing. Doubt Bay would care either. He did already do this with Jazz and I'm quite sure some kids called their family "bitches" afterwards.

 

I don't think MUDFLAP sounded like Jar Jar at all.

He just sounded really freaking scared.

Yea, put faith in really cool looking explosions. Put faith in Fox looking really hot. Put faith in there being lots of action.

But given the Bay track record it might not be wise to put much faith in personality from any of the characters. From what I understand the film is Bay even more unrestrained than before and we all know he doesn't let little things like plot and characters get in his way.
