I guess I am just curious. From the point you had it, til the point you sold it (or if you didn't, as it continues), who is the toy that's been with you the longest? What's its condition? how long?

Note: It doesn't count if you sold it and then brought it again. Because its NOT the exact same transformers toy =)


For me, It's Laser G2 Prime. That toy was with me before I moved to US for at least 3-4 years. So it's been with me for 20 years! (more than 2/3s of my life). The bot's still there, the arm guards on the sword fell off, and I broke the wire to his hands when I was a kid, so the light up only affects his headlights now. The trailer and weapons are all there; I've all the missles as well!

So just wondering,
who's stuck with ya the longest?
How's his condition doing?
How long has he/she been with ya?

 

Sheesh...I'd love to say G2 jolt, but he vanished somewhere along the line....

And I wasn't old enough to appreciate my Beast wars toys. so.....

G1 Grimlock, first thing I bought when I became a working adult.

I'm guessing you thought you were in the toy discussion area? Also the tf toy that's been with me the longest.. Hmmm... I'm honestly not all to sure about that. I don't think any of the G1 figures I have are from my childhood, so I'd have to go with probably my first bw toy, which I think was cheetor or dinobot. I think.

Edit: actually, I forgot my grimlock is a G2 that I had gotten for christmas the that out was released.

 

G1 Grimlock for me.

Had it since bought new for me as a kid. I sold all my other G1's after I outgrew toys at a garage sale but held onto Grim for some reason. He always sat on a shelf in my room through high school and then was packed away in a box for storage.

Got into Transformers and collecting after the first movie and Grim now sits as the leader of the dinobots with my G1 collection.

He's in pretty good shape and I have some of the original weapons and instruction booklet for it too.

Not sure why he was the only one I kept. I guess I thought it was the coolest one and he was always in dino mode on my self.

 

I still have an original Ravage. He is beat up and has side rockets but you have to keep the old timers around for their wisdom and experience  

He is my oldest but I have a couple of other G1's that were mine as a child.

Beast War Cheetor is the only one to survive my childhood. neither of his guns did, but i replaced the gut gun. still looking for a tail. Thanks mom and dad for buying me the red spot variant, hardest part to find

I want to cry when I hear peopel mention BW figures from their childhood. I was a full out adult collector when BW came out lol

G1 Sunstreaker & Snarl, can't remember which I got first as a kid. They might have chipped paint & worn chrome, be heatwarped & broken and are floppy messes, but they were my first TF's, still have all their weapons and are staying in my collection forever!!

 

G1 Ruckus, still rocking a special place in my collection.

 

The Optimus Primal (bat) VS Megatron (crocodile) set with mini comic. That was my first Transformers purchase, still got 'em. And in just as great shape.

 

G1 Bluestreak.

I've had my G1 Thundercracker for 27 years now. The wings have been replaced and the missles are gone, but he was my first Transformer and I still got him.
