it's basically self-explanatory. we disscuss about missed opportunities found in the transformers franchise.

Examples be like

"Well,Lugnut never used the P.O.K.E to make a explosive jump to reach higher places."

or...

"Remember that wheeljack mentioned the wreckers? they coulda shown a 2d/Pre-rendered flashback sequence where they showed the wreckers,including seaspray. that way,we coulda known what they look like atleast."

or perhaps.

"Hasbro could have made a few shorts based of previous series to commemorate the 30th anniversary."

do DTV Movies count as missed opportunity because they could have done so much with at least four DTV Movies annually...

When you think about it, everything has a missed opportunity...just saying.

 

G1 season 3 was a missed opportunity. They could have made something that didn't totally suck. Rodimus Prime as the new leader was a missed opportunity. Galvatron was also a missed opportunity. Awesome character, a million times better than Megatron but they screwed it all up.

 

I'll be the one to say it: Not letting Furman finish his ideas for The Dead Universe gang. I'm willing to bet that Dark Cybertron probably touches upon many of the ideas he was playing with (I'm only a 1/4 of the way through, so I don't know...), but I would've loved to see him complete that arc instead of having it turned into a quartet of spotlights.

Another missed opportunity: Furman's unfinished plans for Hunter and Sunstreaker instead of what we got in AHM.

Hmm,i also noticed a nother missed opportunity.... you remember the burger king toys for dark of the moon? really,they shoulda focused on the mech-tech gimmick and included 5mm compatible weapons and accessories.

 

They have missed oppertunities all the time the one I want to see is BW Transmetal 2 dragon Megatron and Tigerhawk toys made nowadays with more articulation and make Tigerhawk actually snap togather

 

Yeah, we do need a new Dragon Megs toy, though I was thinking of the repaint/retool of RID Megs into him. Damn you, 3H!!

Oh yeah, US G1 Seasons 4-6.

 

Here another missed opportunity American released of Beast Wars 2, & Neo.

 

3H planned to make a retool of RiD megatron into TM2 megatron, but nothing ever came of it because 3H closed down. Its a completely seperate thing from the Cryotek repaint of the TM2 megatron mold.

 

Direct to video Transformers movies based on various continuities and characters not necessarily what the cartoons, comics or movies are covering at the time...

Also, during the UT with the combining in Armada, the minicons and the cyber key gimmick in Cybertron...they missed out on new versions or homages based on G1 characters with similarities to those gimmicks...the Powerlinking could have been used to homage the Duocons and maybe Sky Lynx...the Powerdashers would have been perfect reimagined as minicons or even Omnicrons...and the Triggermasters would have been cool to base characters off with the cyber key gimmick...

 

The Transformers FOC Multiplayer, more specifically, the chassis/bodies. If High Moon Studios made the different chassis for each of the character classes have differing stats (for example, The Recon (Bumblebee) leg parts would have a higher run speed, The Obliterator (Warpath) torso would give increased firepower, etc.)

Oh yeah, & the lack of a map where you can play as the Dinobots on escalation.

 

All 4 Bay movies.

 

Sky Lynx being in the RID comics rather than the MTMTE ones. his personality was so well suited, he would have made a great lost lighter.

Not having a video game that built on the quality of the PS2 game based on Armada maybe adding multi player and even bigger levels!

I am of the belief that the movies would have been a smash regardless of quality as before there release nearly every primary coloured CGI comic book adaptation had already proven to be a massive draw at the box office and this franchise had a huge ageing fanbase who would have seen it regardless so in my opinion it was a massive missed opportunity that they didn't get someone competent or intelligent in to make them as now we are stuck with him.

In Dark Cybertron I was hoping we was going to see a more morally ambiguous Nova/Nemesis Prime rather than the pantomime villain we got.

Also talking of Dark Cybertron that early art looks scruffy as hell
