I just finished painting and stickering Dai Atlas, Roadfire, Sonic Bomber, Star Saber, and Victory Leo, from the newer DX Gattai, and Deathsaurus as well.
Will have to get my airbrush out after 15 years in storage before I start working on the rest of the collection.
Bot mode: Roadfire, Sonic Bomber, Dai Atlas, Deathsaurus
Dai's Z-Sword, and all the gold on Deathsaurus are paint - much better!
Micromaster Base Modes - mini-Galvatron from Eligos, Hot Rod from Kabaya Star Convoy (also painted), and Speeder got a painted windshield. Roadfire got paint on the sides, and all the black on his legs/tower. Dai got painted treads.
Alt Modes: Victory Leo, Star Saber, and Deathsaurus again - too lazy and indifferent to paint Leo & Saber, but Death-chicken got a painted gun, gold, eyes, and nice black wash on his panels.
Victory Saber combined alt mode
Victory Saber combined Bot mode. I did drill out his gun barrels and paint in there.
Painted Bruticus. Need a proper BlastOff. Otherwise I think I nailed the colors for the team
I brought out my Fort Max from the lower levels of my Detolf. Just a basic paint job with my airbrushing and flat clear coat to protect some of the stickers from peeling.
I should get more of these Kabaya TF. Fun and stress free way to make your mini bots appear different.
What kind of paint did you use for the limbs? And how well is it sticking?
I used tamiya spray cans. Like you said, the plastic on these feels a little greasy. It's sticking ok. Not the best. But I don't plan on messing with them too much.
I really like the uniform colour schemes on the set.
Skalor reminds me of a Sharkticon.
Thanks! I probably will mess with them too much - I'll have to try some paint types to see if anything seems more durable.
Just gotten these from a fellow Boardie earlier & yeah, having fun with them.
Have not fiddled with the combined mode (Road Caesar) & Overlord yet but definitely having good G1 vibes on these.
I like how the Kabaya Nebulans scale closely to the Titanmasters.
Chromedome isn't Kabaya but Stylor fits in with the Kabaya Nebulans.
Oh man, Bruticus looks great!
Those are some awesome Kabaya vintage. So that what's the original Kabaya UM box looks like and you got 2 of them. I've been trying to add the original Kabaya UM into my WST TF but still can't find one.
I've had this Fort Max kit sitting around waiting to be painted and built since 2014. This is the first time that I've ever painted a model kit so it took me around 11 days from de-runnering/primer to topcoat. Gloss paints and topcoats on the blues/red/chrome/black, flat/matte paints and topcoats on the grays/white. I really want to go back and add extra details on him.
A few more pictures.
